We were given the awesome opportunity to dance at half time for the Allianz Premiership Women’s Rugby Final between @bristolbearswomen & @gloucesterhartpury at @sandyparkexeter today!
What an epic game, but more importantly what a day for our amazing dancers! They did us all so proud.
It’s time like this where you really see how much of a family our #COMMITTED community is!
Massive shoutout to parents and helpers today for making it run as smoothly as possible! We couldn’t do things like this without you guys 🌍 🙏🏻

‘I am ME, I am DIFFERENT, I am WONDERFUL, Together we are MAGICAL!!

We end all of our sessions with these beautiful affirmations. The one thing we’ve noticed when working with younger children and teenagers is the different levels of self consciousness.
Our younger dancers generally shout these words at the top of their lungs full of belief, whereas our older dancers tend to be more insular and hesitant.
It’s such a shame when these feelings of doubt or concern for what others think of us sets in but remember you are not alone in feeling this way.

We will never give up on saying these affirmations and continuing to encourage our young people to believe in themselves and be confident in their own skin!

If you’re someone who’s feeling insecure or desperate to be liked, we set you the challenge of using words to yourself that you would use when talking to a friend!

‘To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment’.

Yesterday was EPIC!
We took our #COMMITTED Dance crews to the @ukstreetdancechallenge and it was fair to say, they absolutely SMASHED it 💥
We were buzzing from start to finish and couldn’t be prouder of our dancers effort and how they supported each other.
Forever grateful for our dance family!

#COMMITTED Dance Company 2024 Showcase Complete!!

What an epic couple of days we’ve had performing our annual show. To say we are proud of you all is a HUUUUGE understatement! Each and every one of you danced your hearts out with smiles on your faces. It’s the time of year where all of your loved ones get to see the hard work and effort you put into learning your routines, and what a celebration it was!! To see you all look out for one another and support each other during the rehearsals and shows is a real insight into the wonderful young people you are. We have ‘role modelling’ at its finest and created a dance family that we all cherish and adore no matter who you are or where you come from.
It’s not just about the dance, although that’s the passion we share.
It’s about the community, respect, strength and love we have for each other! Together we make magic happen!

Thank you for all of the continued support shown by the families and people that help us throughout the year. We couldn’t do it without you.

We already know 2025 is going to be even bigger and better with the plans we have! On top of that, celebrating that we will be teaming up with and supporting @smartphonefreechildhood is something super exciting!

Half Term competition prep for these guys! It’s late on a Thursday, it’s hot in the studio, some of them are prepping for exams and yet they all came with a great attitude, smiles on their faces and loads of joy to spread!!
We LOVE you all and feel so grateful for our dance family.
A few more weeks of graft and grit and we will be competition ready!

DON’T UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER of the next generation 🌎

As well as teaching various workshops in schools, we also run a dance company (insta account pending 😉…….)
Alongside learning routines, we also check in and see how life is treating our students.
Good, bad, average……we are hear to listen and make them aware that talking about our feelings is welcome and so important.

During circle time with our younger students, we started a chat about aspirations and if they had any idea what they wanted to be when they were adults (with no judgement). Well to say it was inspirational is a HUGE understatement.

Now, when we teach them every week we will be looking at them with their aspirations in mind.

We all share a love of dance, but now we are lucky enough to know we are teaching future Scientists, Doctors, Vets, 999 phone operators, Activists, Chiropractors, Actresses and so much more.

Young people fill us with hope and when they’re given a space to express who they are at their core, it is MAGIC!

To any young people who need to hear this…..
We are beside you and we believe in you 💫

Who’s the person who knows exactly what you need?

YOU!!!!! ❤️

It’s great to show others how much we love them, but it’s also HUGELY important we show ourselves.

Happy Valentine’s Day, whatever that looks like for you!

In our house we don’t really celebrate Valentine’s Day but the children wrote ‘I LOVE YOU’ in dog biscuits and made our lovely pooch a card 🐾

WHAT A DAY!!

Bex @committedclothingcompany was kindly invited to stand alongside some incredible women yesterday, all with a shared mission but a different story to encourage and inspire our younger generation.

Not only did we get to share our own careers and life experiences with over 100 amazing young women, we also gained a real insight on how it feels to be on their journey. The highs, the lows, the pressures and much more.

Through music, dance and conversation we had some powerful breakthroughs and a fair few lightbulb moments. We collaborated on ideas that can make our lives easier and problems feel lighter, but we also connected with ourselves and things we are #COMMITTED to.

Although these young people are different, they all want to succeed and feel like they belong.

For anyone that feels like they aren’t seen, there is always support out there if you have the courage to reach out and communicate.

We believe in YOU 💫
