We’re incredibly honored to be named Best of Edmonds 2026 for Interior Designer.

To every client who has welcomed us into your home, every trade partner who has brought our designs to life, and everyone who has supported our studio and showroom, thank you.

We see every project as an opportunity to create a home that reflects the people who live there while supporting the way they gather, recharge, and live every day. It’s a privilege to do this work, and we’re grateful for the trust our clients place in us.

Thank you for celebrating this milestone with us! taken in Edmonds, Washington by @commonformme

A little reminder of what we do and how we work.

No two homes or projects look the same, which is why we offer multiple ways to work together. From full-scale renovations to furnishing support and focused consultations, each service is designed to support different needs, timelines, and stages of the process. taken in Edmonds, Washington by @commonformme

A peek inside our shop 🤍

One week open and it’s been a dream!! We’ve loved welcoming everyone in, sharing what we’re working on, and watching the space come to life day by day. Thanks to everyone who stopped by, we’re excited for what’s ahead! taken in Edmonds, Washington by @commonformme

One minute it is light well past dinner. The next, you are looking out the window at 4pm wondering if it’s bedtime.

Welcome back, PNW fall!!

As much as I love cozy season, the darker months have a funny way of pointing out everything that is not working in your home.

The lighting suddenly feels harsh. Wet shoes are everywhere. Everyone is inside and, somehow, standing in the same three square feet. And the living room you barely thought about all summer now needs to feel good for a very long evening.

Creating a home that feels warm through fall and winter is not really about adding more seasonal decor. No shade to pumpkins! It is about good lighting, natural materials, practical storage, comfortable places to gather, and all the little details you may not see but definitely feel.

Our newest blog post is all about designing a home for early sunsets, busy kitchens, muddy shoes, quiet evenings, and real life happening inside it.

We weren’t going to let this post stand in the way of creating a beautiful kitchen!!

At our Mid Century Magic project, we used it to our advantage and made it part of the design. Turns out, the thing we had to work around became one of our favorite details. taken in Edmonds, Washington by @commonformme

As seen in the Common Formme showroom!

We’re so happy to feature all original work from two artists whose pieces each bring something special to the space, @whitneyschlanderart and @isabelle_alessandra_artist.

Whitney Schlander is a Phoenix-based painter originally from New York inspired by the emotions and experiences of everyday life. Her expressive abstract paintings feel personal and intuitive, with movement and texture that make you want to stop and spend a little more time with them.

Isabelle Alessandra creates abstract paintings inspired by music, memories, and her surroundings. She builds up layers of color, then sands back into them, giving each piece depth and a history of its own. Her work has such a joyful, playful energy to it.

Swipe through to see what’s on our walls. If a piece catches your eye, DM us and we’ll send you the details. taken in Edmonds, Washington by @commonformme

We have strong opinions about where a renovation budget should go!!

And honestly? Not everything needs to be the most expensive option. But there are a few things I will almost always tell you to spend a little more on.

Cabinetry that actually holds up. Floors that can be refinished instead of replaced. Countertops that get better with age. Paints, finishes, and lighting that make your home feel better to live in every day.

I put our full renovation splurge list, plus why each one is worth it, into our newest blog post.

Go give it a read at the link in our bio!

Calling all Seattle-area interior designers!

We’re getting together at the showroom for Beyond “Non-Toxic,” a conversation about what goes into the furnishings and materials we bring into our clients’ homes.

We’ll talk through what to look for when choosing materials, with time to connect with other local designers. Sign up through the link in our bio! taken in Downtown, Edmonds by @commonformme
