The mountains have given us some incredible views but I don’t think that’s why we keep coming back.

It’s the time together. Hours spent talking, walking, getting lost in the landscape and finding our way again. Learning to slow down, to encourage each other, to laugh when the weather has other plans and to always tackle the climb as a team.

I hope we never stop building a life that looks a little like this❤️

Places like this are breathtaking but they are not ours to destroy.

If you claim to love the mountains, then act like it. We need to collectively protect the places we’re so lucky to experience. That means no fireworks in the wild, no irresponsible campfires, no leaving your rubbish behind and no careless behaviour that puts these landscapes, wildlife and other people at risk.

The recent wildfires caused by people setting off fireworks and having fires while wild camping are absolutely disgusting and a so is leaving litter behind in places you supposedly love.

You have no right to come into these landscapes, take from them, enjoy their beauty and then leave them damaged, polluted or at risk of burning.

Love for the mountains is more than a photo, a hike or a caption. It’s responsibility, It’s respect, It’s leaving these places as you found them, or better.

Protect the places you claim to love and don’t be a scum bag🙌🏼🏔️

I’ve been all over the UK, up countless mountains and hills and watched more sunrises than I could count and Mam Tor is still one of my favourite Sunday morning spots.🌄

There’s this weird thing in the outdoors now where everything has to be harder, higher, steeper and more dangerous. People taking unnecessary risks, putting themselves in sketchy situations, all just to prove they’re hardcore and brag about it on instagram.

I don’t give a fuck about any of that.

You don’t have to put yourself in danger for a sunrise to count. You don’t have to suffer, push yourself to the limit or do something stupid to earn the right to enjoy the outdoors.

Sometimes a relaxed walk, a beautiful view, sitting quietly and watching the sun come up is more than enough.

And honestly, I fucking love that about Mam Tor❤️

There’s nothing quite like winter in the mountains. Cold, frozen starts, snow covered trails, white peaks and pastel sunrises. Hiking in the snow just hits different and I’m on proper countdown for this years winter now❄️🏔️

My big brother had never hiked a mountain before so when he messaged me last week saying he wanted to climb one with me, it was an instant yes.

Today, two brothers, one mountain and a whole lot of laughs, deep conversations and memories made. The weather had other plans and the summit views never came but that didn’t take anything away from the day.

Back from Greece at 4am, no sleep, straight into the van and off to the Peaks for sunrise🌅🏔️

Maybe we are a little bit mental, but when two people share the same love for adventure, the same need to get out and explore and the same attitude of “fuck it, let’s go”, you make the most of it!

We don’t want to waste a minute, we want the early starts, the long drives, the random plans that make no sense, the places we’ve never been and the memories that come from saying yes ✨

Two people, one shared passion and a pretty strong attitude that life’s far too short not to make the most of every moment🏔️🤍

For the past two years, life has felt like one huge test.

A test of who I am, what I’m capable of and ultimately, who I’m going to become.

At first, getting away every weekend was escapism. I needed to get out of my own head, away from an environment that was making me worse and give myself enough space to breathe and find some clarity.

I’d leave work, get in the car, drive to the mountains and just disappear for a while.

Two years later, it’s become an addiction but of the healthiest kind.

Getting outside keeps my mind sharp, it gives me space to reflect without dwelling, it reminds me who I am when everything else gets loud and more than anything, it makes me feel like myself.

Somewhere along the way, the mountains stopped being an escape from my life and became a part of how I live it.

Getting outside has genuinely changed my life. It’s helped me become the person I believe is the best version of me.

So if you’re struggling, if you’re going through it, if your own head feels like a difficult place to be right now, get outside.

Go for the walk, find the view, sit somewhere quiet, drive somewhere you’ve never been.

I can’t promise it will fix everything.

But I can promise you this, it might change more than you realise.

It changed me❤️🏔️

We’re constantly taught that more is better.

More money, more possessions, more success, more plans, More, more, more.

But out here, sleeping on the ground in the middle of nowhere, with almost nothing, I feel more at peace than I often do surrounded by everything.

No noise, no notifications, no distractions.

Just a tent, a sleeping bag, the earth beneath me and natural light waking me up.

And somehow, when there’s less to consume, less to think about and less to chase, there’s more space to breathe, more clarity, more presence and more calm.

Maybe that’s the paradox.

If having more is supposed to make us happier, why do so many of us feel most at peace when we have the least?

Maybe we were never meant to have so much 🌅⛺️

From two strangers both out on solo hikes on the Dragon’s Back, crossing paths by chance, never knowing that one random meeting would turn into one of the best friendships I could’ve asked for.

Since then, we’ve found ourselves around every corner of the UK, climbing mountains, chasing views, getting ourselves into a fair bit of mischief, and making memories that I know I’ll still be talking about years from now.

It’s mad to think that some of the people who end up meaning the most to you can arrive completely unexpectedly, at a random point in your life and somehow become such a huge part of it.

I’m incredibly grateful for the people I’m surrounded by, for the adventures, the laughs, the stories and especially for the people who make ordinary moments feel like memories worth keeping.

Here’s to the random encounters, the unexpected friendships and all the mountains still left to climb🏔️

Some climbs are harder than others but every step takes you closer to the view.

Sunrise from Crib Goch was a good reminder that the best moments in life rarely come from taking the easy path. Keep putting one foot in front of the other, keep climbing through the tough days and trust that the view will be worth it 🌅⛰️

Will fully admit I was pointing at nothing and it was purely for a cute photo🤷‍♂️

Not every outing needs a couple thousand metres of elevation.

Sometimes a walk around a lake is all you need. slow, calm, good views and even better company. No big climbs, no chasing summits, just a good few hours out around Derwent Water 🥾
