Old Québec has no shortage of beautiful hotels—but Auberge Saint-Antoine is in a category of its own.

We arrived just after nine, long after the restaurant had closed, but the team graciously took care of us with a delicious fireside meal at Bar Artefact—fresh gnocchi, cannelloni, and a chocolate mousse drizzled in chocolate that hit exactly right after a winter travel day.

This is one of the only two–Michelin Key hotels in North America, celebrated for its historic depth and sense of place, and you feel that immediately.

We were over the moon to be upgraded to a suite, filled with exposed wood and beautiful architectural details, along with all the thoughtful in-room touches we love: great coffee and tea, a floss dispenser in the bathroom (truly appreciated), and a fireplace that made the space feel instantly warm and welcoming.
