calling CONEJA 📘😍🌹 to the principal’s office! @coneja__ x @livingroomatx

Dancer, poet, witch… and apparently, top of her class.
Coneja is not your average bunny. Returning to the stage for Alumni Night, she’s bringing straight-A seduction, schoolgirl smarts, and extra credit in desire.

Hailing from the tropical mountains of Bogotá, Colombia, Coneja blends brains, burlesque, and boldness in a way no textbook ever could.
She’s the teacher’s favorite, the curve-breaker, the one who rewrites the rules of class.
Take your seats—Coneja is back, and school is officially in session. Special thanks to Stylist/Designer: @imitatingrabbit_official

2 years ago I started my burlesque journey, around the same time that so many of my community were also beginning to perform or produce. It’s been such a beautiful season of realizing just how much we’ve grown, changed, and created together.

I am so grateful for this art form and for the freedom it has created within me and around me. I only dream bigger now, and I see so much more ahead. I believe in myself fully and truly, and there is nothing more powerful than believing in and trusting yourself. 🤍

These photos by @xtinafi are from one of my very first performances in December 2024 with @nocturnacabaret (congratulations on also turning 2 🥹🤍), performing Gitana by Willie Colón. It was my first time doing a salsa piece, and now salsa is a huge part of my life and a style that profoundly influences me as a dancer.

Happy Hispanic Heritage Month! 🇨🇴❤️‍🔥 Please go out and support Latinx art, artists, and culture as much as possible.

Los quiero mucho. 💋

💋 by @coneja__

✨INTRODUCING CONEJA IN THE LIVING ROOM✨

Here to emulate light, truth and love,
Coneja is not like every bunny.
Reining from the tropical mountains of Bogota, Colombia, she is here to immerse you in an Aquarian world of burlesque, color, desire and unity. Coneja, Spanish for female bunny, will make you want to hop out of your seat and thump your feet, with the energy and sensuality she transmits.

What does the living room mean to you Coneja?🛋️

“The living room was my first safe space when I migrated from Colombia as a child. I was constantly overwhelmed and overstimulated and in many ways felt like a small bunny that would freeze often and get small in the face of social adaptation. Coming home to a safe space with my family and watching something familiar in Spanish in the middle of them at night was my favorite part of the day. It was a space where I could be silly and feel more myself. Now I am more myself in every space I show up in and it feels so good to have the safety of my living room be a feeling that I take with me and expands around me. Love feels so good. and the spaces we feel them in are our sanctuariessanctuarys.“ - @coneja__

Come hop around in the @livingroomatx with this sweet little bunny @austinfirehouse 10:30pm-late this coming up Thursday, September 26th! No door cover. No ticket fees. Donations & Tips highly in all forms highly appreciated! Come party with us like an energizer bunny🐇🤭

Today is the one year anniversary of the very first Nocturna Cabaret production!!! 💃🏽🌑❤️

We started Nocturna with the goal of honoring showgirls of color.. showgirls with roots in the global south… showgirls who brought something classic yet new and exciting to the world of burlesque and performance art. We wanted to spotlight local performers of different cultural backgrounds with something unique to share.

This night was so special to us and it felt so sweet to hear from audience members and our cast and crew how special it was to them too. We feel so lucky to get to put on these shows and create a space like this in Austin. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who has supported Nocturna! ❤️‍🔥💋

Xoxo,
Carolina Bela & Zina

P.S.
We better see you at Súper Erótica at @anisdayandnight on 9/30.. Tickets in bio 🌟
