WOW 2 YEARS! Can you believe it? Itโ€™s hard for us to! Through out the years @livingroomatx has grown in so many more ways than one. A space for curating connections, memories, and liberated expression. Itโ€™s all because of YOU, ALL TLRE CASTS & CREWS, FIREHOUSE (our forever home), and all the DIFFERENT COMMUNITIES that come together. ๐Ÿซ‚ Even though @arbor.mp3 is pursuing opportunities outside of ATX, living room wouldnโ€™t even have existed if it wasnโ€™t for my OG partner in crime. Just 2 neurodivergent ADHD voluntary wallflower millennial Leos who wanted to provide a place for people to feel genuinely welcomed and not a token. To allow them to share their experiences, the love for music and the arts, to release and to be present. A party for everyone to come as they are. Especially for the BIPOC, LGBTQ, FLINTA, and IMMIGRANT communities that quite literally built this world. โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿ”ฅ This week we are going down memory lane of all the shows we have done through the lens. We know, FINALLY the vault has been opened. RELEASE โ€˜EM! HAPPY NOCTURNAVERSARY TO US ๐Ÿฉท๐Ÿ’œ TWO YEARS OF NOCTURNA CABARET Two years of amplifying performers of color and the Global South diaspora Continuing to break barriers and create new norms through unabashed sensuality, cultural expression, and simply impeccable taste and style. Paying homage to our ancestors through movement and sound but also getting to explore and define our own relationships to our cultures โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿ”ฅ We thank all the incredible performers and crew members weโ€™ve made art with so far. In the past two years, weโ€™ve produced 6 packed out shows, including two benefit shows where we raised over $1000 for mutual aid efforts, introduced cultural dance workshop offerings, and won a grant with a 100 point score - to name a few of our accomplishments. We couldnโ€™t have done it without you all! Bigggg things to come soon ๐Ÿ˜™
