Return to the marathon!

Such an epic race, hot conditions and amazing energy.

Came back for redemption on the sub 3hr.

Stoked with the progression:
2019 - 3:56
2022 - 3:24
2023 - 3:02
2026 - 2:57

Always the best feeling to come into the finish line with a little fan club @hannahreyer @billmacphee @sam_cat and of course Celine by @conner.macphee

What a journey it’s been!

I’ve had so much fun building up for Ironman 70.3 La Quinta together with @mindfulenduranceprogram @r_willms @lukefalcone @elliotlow_

We’ve been training, racing and growing together over the last 4 months, all leading up towards this race.

In 2023, I finished 18th in my age group here. Over the past few years I’ve slowly gotten closer to the podium, but never quite breaking though. Coming into this race, I had my eyes set on a top 3 finish, knowing that it would take all things coming together.

I had a decent swim coming out of the water in 16th, made some moves through T1 and worked my way into 3rd by mile 40 on the bike. I ended up getting passed by two people throughout the run, but in the final mile I was able to take back 3rd! 😅

🏊‍♂️ 31:43
🚴 2:19:39
🏃 1:28:06
🏁 04:24:48

And while I’m proud of the performance, I’m even more excited about the personal growth and the shared experiences with the team over these last few months.

Stoked to close the season out with a bang and excited for what’s next.

I couldn’t do this without my love @hannahreyer and our favorite new spectator.

Race last weekend 🏁 LA Tri Series, San Dimas

It’s always fun to race the same course over the years. This one has always been a special one, since it was one of the first races that @r_willms invited me to join him on back in 2022.

I had a decent swim (still not fast enough to hang onto @elliotlow_ ), solid bike (about 5mins faster than last year), and finished with a fun run battle. Coming in 2nd overall, just 18 sec behind 1st 😅

Great day of racing with the @mindfulenduranceprogram race team.

First race of the @mindfulenduranceprogram Race Team season!

@hermosabeachtri sprint distance.

A short ocean swim, 10 mile bike loop, and a 5k run along the strand. I was able to lead my age group in the swim and through the bike course but was caught on the run by two speedy athletes.

3rd place in age group, and only 40 seconds off the overall winner of the day.

Super fun racing with the Team!
