Musically, that’s fast, but output wise, careful and considered, with over a year or more apart between each installment. That’s because creating complex worlds within worlds, which the Moroccan artist has a knack for, certainly takes time. Now a trifecta of releases in, the Enslaved EP serves as his most fine-tuned and liberated project for the label yet. taken in Yoyaku by @convergence_rec

When I first envisioned the @convergence_rec project, it was meant to be a series of events. Then Covid hit, changed everything, and it evolved into a label. Now, I’m excited to finally bring this project to life and share my sonic vision in Morocco. This first event features one of the most talented artists the Moroccan scene has ever produced: @polysw_tch . We first crossed paths back in 2010-2011 at the iconic B-ROCK (iykyk). He was absolutely crushing it, playing some of the nastiest techno I’d ever heard in Casablanca, at a time when we were just a handful of artists pretending to be DJs. We connected instantly and have remained close friends ever since. It’s a true honor to launch this with him!

See you on November 8th in Marrakech 🫡

PREORDER Kosh’s latest release on his label Convergence, « Enslaved, » marks a significant evolution in his sound. Known for his careful and considered approach to music production, Kosh takes listeners on a journey through complex sonic landscapes in this EP.

The title track, offered in both vocal and bonus beat versions, showcases Kosh’s mastery of electro, with cosmic and introspective elements interwoven with psychedelic and trance-inducing sounds. The lyrics, characteristic of Kosh’s style, offer cautiously optimistic reflections on the world, resonating with the current zeitgeist while maintaining a universal futurist perspective.
On the flip side, « Supernova » builds upon a filtered house foundation, gradually evolving into scorching Detroit-style techno stabs that ignite the dance floor. The EP then ventures into uncharted territory with « Above & Beyond, » an interplanetary escape soundtrack fueled by acid-infused beats, transporting listeners to new dimensions of sonic exploration.
