This Thursday at 7PM, Historican sits down with Chef Tracy Castillo for a special conversation about culture, family, health, food, and the power of reinvention.

Born and raised in the Bronx with deep Puerto Rican roots, Tracy grew up loving the flavors and traditions of nuestra cocina. Years later, her own health journey inspired her to look at those same beloved dishes through a different lens—and Cooking con La Jefa was born. 🌱👩🏽‍🍳

I had to try the viral Trader Joe’s Lobster Bisque Shrimp Pasta, pero you already know I had to put my own Jefa spin on it! 👩🏽‍🍳✨ Creamy, flavorful, loaded with shrimp, and made with LOVE for my familia. ❤️

I may cook vegan, but I can still represent in the kitchen for everybody at the table! 💃🏽

Let’s talk about a breakfast that’s simple, wholesome, filling AND delicious — because eating plant-based doesn’t mean breakfast has to be boring. 💚🌱

🥣 My Oatmeal Breakfast Bowl
Rolled oats cooked in water or your favorite plant milk
🌱 1 tsp hemp seeds
🌱 1 tsp chia seeds
🌱 1 tsp ground flaxseed
🫐 A few blueberries
🍌 ½ banana
🍁 A drizzle of maple syrup
✨ Un chin de cinnamon

And if you wanna give it that little extra crunch… throw in some walnuts! 🌰

Nothing fancy. Nothing complicated. Just real ingredients, good energy & Boricua kitchen love. 🇵🇷💚
