🔥 THE EPISODE DROPS TODAY! 🇵🇷🌱

Today on Historican, we sit down with Chef Tracy Viade-Castillo for a powerful conversation about culture, food, health, family, and transformation.

In this clip, Tracy opens up about a health scare that changed her life. That moment became a turning point, inspiring her to make major changes, embrace a vegan lifestyle, and ultimately lose a significant amount of weight. 🙌🏽

But along the way, she discovered something important:

She didn’t have to give up the Puerto Rican food, flavor, and sazón she loved in order to live healthier. 🇵🇷🌱

Instead, she found a way to reinvent the foods she grew up with without losing the sabor or tradition.

And that journey eventually gave birth to Cooking con La Jefa. 👩🏽‍🍳🔥

This is more than a story about food. It’s about what happens when a health scare forces you to see life differently—and how you can transform without losing the culture that made you who you are.

🌱🔥 FROM THE BRONX TO LA JEFA IN THE KITCHEN! 🇵🇷

This Thursday at 7PM, Historican sits down with Chef Tracy Castillo for a special conversation about culture, family, health, food, and the power of reinvention.

Born and raised in the Bronx with deep Puerto Rican roots, Tracy grew up loving the flavors and traditions of nuestra cocina. Years later, her own health journey inspired her to look at those same beloved dishes through a different lens—and Cooking con La Jefa was born. 🌱👩🏽‍🍳

She isn’t erasing tradition. She’s flipping it, reinventing it, and making it plant-based—without losing the sabor, tradición, or sazón.

From her journey in the Bronx to balancing motherhood, grandmotherhood, career, entrepreneurship, and her culinary dream, this is a story about what happens when we honor where we come from while creating something new.

🇵🇷 Culture. Food. Family. Transformation.
