Vitamin C could be your lucky charm 🍊🧧#lunarnewyear

During Lunar New Year, my mother would display a variety of citrus fruits around the house - tangerines, oranges, and pomelo as they represented fullness and wealth. Tangerines in Chinese are “桔” which are homophones to lucky “吉”. The more you eat, the more wealth it will bring… time to set up your Vitamin C game 🍊

tomato pizza party 🍅 🍕

on the menu: caesar salad with croutons from @maribakeshop ,trying out steaks + pork chops from @macpherson_meats , meatballs made from @trailsendbeef, sourdough focaccia, and fermented pizza dough cooked straight in the @gozney

P.S a singular chopstick works great to mix dough together

annual chokehold that spot prawn season has on me 🥲

GARLIC BUTTER SPOT PRAWN TOAST

• 1 lb fresh spot prawns
• 3 tbsp butter
• 3 cloves garlic, minced
• Handful of parsley, chopped
• 1 baguette
• Parmesan cheese
• Salt & pepper

Sear spot prawns in butter, garlic, and parsley for 1-2 minutes per side.
Transfer to a 400°F oven for 3-5 minutes until just cooked through.
Slice baguette and brush with the garlic butter from the pan. Toast until golden.
Finish with grated parmesan.
Top with spot prawns and spoon over all the buttery garlic sauce.

Best enjoyed while standing at the kitchen counter because apparently waiting for dinner is impossible!!

To begin the Lunar New Year, I always come back to the simplest comforts. Growing up, it was never about fancy dishes. It was about warmth, togetherness, and meals that said what words couldn’t. This year I’m welcoming the new year with a soft, nourishing bowl of steamed eggs made with Burnbrae Farms Naturegg Omega 3 Brown Eggs, now available in a beautiful special edition Lunar New Year carton that I absolutely love. It feels like such a thoughtful way to celebrate the season. I’ve paired them with Naturegg Simply Egg Whites, 100% pure egg whites, for added protein and a lighter, silky texture. Light, nourishing and exactly what I need right now.

Here’s to starting fresh, one comforting bowl at a time. 🧧🥚 #BurnbraeFarms #RealEggsRealEasy #ad @BurnbraeFarms

Ingredients
* 2 Naturegg Omega-3 Brown Eggs
* ½ cup Naturegg Simply Egg Whites
* 450 ml dashi (or 1½ tsp instant dashi + 450 ml hot water)
* 1 tsp light soy
* 1 tsp mirin
* ½ tsp salt + pinch white pepper
* Shiitake mushrooms + shrimp
* Scallions, sesame oil (optional)
Method
1. Whisk eggs + egg whites gently.
2. Mix dashi, soy, mirin, salt, pepper.
3. Combine, strain, pour into bowls.
4. Steam or bake (325°F water bath) 10 min.
5. Add shiitake + shrimp, return 6 min until just set.
6. Finish with scallions + sesame oil. by @cookingwithchow

A love letter to the girl who survived her 20s…

You made it here with a strength you never gave yourself enough credit for - through ADHD, confusion, career changes, heartbreak, anxiety, moving homes, rebuilding, loving deeply, mourning, and healing. You still showed up for the people you love and the life you’re creating.

Your 20s were messy and beautiful. They taught you what you deserve, what you can survive, and how to come back to yourself. You built a life from scratch, hosted dinner parties with your whole soul, created art with your hands, dreamed up recipes and brands, carried your family & friend’s love, and still held room for softness. They shaped the woman you are now… smarter, softer, braver, sexier, and finally stepping into her worth.

Here’s to 30 - where things align, where your courage pays off, and where you live like the version your younger self hoped you’d become…

The boldest, baddest decade yet.

xx,

The secret to incredible, fall-off-the-bone beef is a low and slow braise. It all starts with the right cut. We used our Blue Ribbon short rib premium tender to create a rich and flavorful braised dish. A quick sear creates the golden crust, then hours of simmering transform good beef into something truly great. Start with the best, finish with greatness. taken in Canada by @cookingwithchow
