Your "me time" shouldn't start at 9pm when you're already running on empty. 😩

So we moved Fun Fridays to daylight. ☀️

Drop the kids at school → come learn to roll sushi or fold dumplings → be home for pick-up. No evening rush. No juggling. Just yours.

Can children join my cooking classes?

Absolutely! I love welcoming younger cooks into the kitchen.

My classes are primarily designed for adults, but it's lovely to see families cooking together, learning new skills and making delicious memories.

Pasta and sushi are often great classes to start with!

Children are welcome when booked alongside a participating adult, whether that's a parent, grandparent, aunty or another special grown-up. You'll cook, learn and have fun together, with the adult supervising their young chef throughout.

Not sure which class would suit your young chef? Just drop me a message.

Thank you for the kind words, it really does mean a lot.

@_raisedbywomen is a super supportive photo club and networking group for women in business. Last week I was honoured to host a session at Adlington village Hall and share with them a little bit more about my own work. Festive treats were on the menu - A little insight in to the festive edible gifts workshops that I am hosting at the end of the year.

If you want to know more about the group, drop Karen a message - @_raisedbywomen and give her a follow.
If you fancy joining a festive gifts workshop or cooking class of sorts… check out my website for dates and classes.
Maybe see you in the kitchen? Or at @_raisedbywomen event?

Is it just me, or are the days flying by faster and faster?

Life gets busy, the to-do list keeps growing, and before you know it, another month has disappeared!

That's one of the things I love about my cooking classes. They're a little pocket of time to slow down and enjoy the simple things.

Cooking, chatting, learning something new, eating delicious food and having a laugh along the way.

I've done the recipe testing, sourced the specialist ingredients, got the playlist ready (although I'm always open to requests ) and I'll be there to guide you.

All you need to do is turn up and enjoy yourself.

Oh, and there's no washing up! 🙌

I know that time and money are precious, and I want you to feel that a few hours cooking with me are time well spent.

So, if you've been thinking about coming along but haven't quite got round to booking, perhaps this is your little nudge to make some time for yourself. ❤️

✨ Come cook, laugh, eat and try something new with me.

🍣 Sushi — 14th & 15th November
🍝 Colourful Pasta — 22nd November
🎄 Festive Edible Gifts — December dates available, with early-bird places at £75 (usually £80).

And if you're planning ahead, I've also released more cooking class dates for 2027!

🚨 Last call for sushi in 2026 🚨

After the weekend of 14th and 15th November, I won’t be running any more sushi classes this year. My next ones won’t come round until late January 2027.

If “learn to make sushi” has been sitting on your someday list, this is your sign.

In three hours, I’ll teach you to make maki, nigiri and hand rolls plus two sushi inspired salads from scratch. We’ll get the rice just right, choose your fillings, and master the rolling technique together, and I’ll be right there with you every step of the way. Never made sushi before? Perfect. Neither had most of the lovely people who come along.

Then we all sit down together with a glass of wine and enjoy what you’ve made. There’s usually so much that you’ll take a tub home for tomorrow’s lunch too. One guest told me the three hours felt like 30 minutes, which made my day! 🍣

📅 Saturday 14th November, 6pm to 9pm
📅 Sunday 15th November, 11am to 2pm

Places are limited, and once these two classes are full, that’s sushi done for 2026. Don’t spend the winter wishing you’d booked!

👉 Grab your place at www.cookingwithjinny.com

I’d love to see you in the kitchen x

A fun weekend of making dim sum dumplings. I went seasonal this month with pumpkin roasted and miso and soy it was delicious but also we still have the classic pork delicious always a winner.

Different fillings, different folds and pleats, different ways of cooking them. All of it was about having a good time, learning something new and eating some delicious new food. Laughter and chatter as we went along. by @cookingwithjinny

A little insight to the world of sushi cooking classes. It’s a favourite and I never tire of them. Always a fav group of people and of course delicious food at the end.
There’s the prep to start - perfecting the rice, a bit of chopping andchatter. Then we get rolling, people are a bit daunted at first, but pick it up pretty quickly and before you know it I hear them saying how mindful it can - they’re in the groove and on the sushi train.
come join us there’s still some places for 2026 and I have added some days for 2027.
Head to my website to book.

Minestrone soup, garlic bread and a room full of stories. ❤️

I was back at the @angelcentresalford in Salford for my second community cooking class, part of an initiative all about healthy, vegan, budget-friendly cooking.

We had different nationalities all cooking side by side, then sitting down to eat together, swapping stories about their lives, the food they grew up with and their own top tips.

I always try to keep these classes as relaxed as possible. Cooking shouldn't come with a sense of fear. My aim is that everyone leaves knowing they can make that dish again at home, no matter what, without me standing next to them.

That's the bit I love most: empowering people to cook, but also bringing people together for a wholesome few hours and learning something new along the way.

Hopefully the first of many more. Thank you Angel Centre for the invite. 🙏

There's a moment in every class where someone realises they can actually do this. That's my favourite bit.

Tom yum soup was on the menu this time. Hot, sour, fragrant, and far less complicated than it sounds once someone talks you through it.

Fri 2 Oct • 11am
Sat 3 Oct • 6pm (1 place left)
Sun 4 Oct • 11am
Fri 20 Nov • 11am

Last dates of the year. Link in bio. 💛
