Now that dates are more accessible because of Ramadan, it might be a good time to try this.
This video is from 2023. Clearing out the drafts 😁

INGREDIENTS
Dates
Peanut butter
Chocolates
Chopped peanuts/desiccated coconut

Melt some chocolate in the microwave. Remove the seed in the date and fill the date with the peanut butter.
Dip the date in the melted chocolate and sprinkle with nuts or coconut.
Leave to harden in the fridge for a couple minutes and enjoy.

Happy Valentines Day.
We’re keeping it simple here. Store bought vanilla Heart and a milkshake recipe from the back of the granola carton that I’ve been curious about🤣.

Blend milk with your favorite icecream. I used a brown butter orange fudge flavour🥰
Top with whipped cream, granola and berries.

I know there are different recipes for coconut shrimp pasta but I have two tips that make mine unmatched. Tips make it extra shrimpy and coconutty 😍😛

Add a teaspoon of dried shrimp powder in the coconut milk sauce. It really amps up the shrimp flavour.

Finish up the pasta with the coconut powder. This boosts the coconut flavour without the extra liquid.

On this day, I had just come back home with Ivan and was about to make a recipe video/ lunch when the call came.
It was mummy.
“Cynthia! your daddy is gone”
It was the singular most numbing pain I had felt in my life and I knew what pain was. This though? This was inexplicable. Hollow, suffocating, slow yet rapid, raw…
For months after that call I couldn’t record myself cook. I dreaded it. That action was associated with the loss of you.
Till date, I don’t think I ever forgave myself for just accepting it. I should’ve prayed. I should’ve even said God forbid at the very least. But I heard the news and the tears started to pour. I held your grandson and wailed knowing you’d never get to meet him.
It occurred to me that you died not knowing you were going to have a granddaughter. We hadn’t even talked names.
I had planned to tell you when you got back home as a surprise.
Whenever there’s a prayer for healing for someone with prostrate cancer, my heart skips before I scream a resounding amen. A way to pray the prayers I didn’t pray enough for you.
I miss you so so much.
