To everyone who has ever supported my dreams. Thank you. To be in Vogue, means you’ve had surgery, you’ve dieted, you’re photoshopped, you’re dressed by the best team, with options and clothes flown in from all over the world. It’s no small feat. To be black, to be queer, to be fat, to be on this platform. Baby, tell 17 year old, working out 2 hours a day, carb cutting Alden that all he had to do was be himself to be in Vogue one day and he would have laughed. Not that I’m not worthy but I know this system. It’s the reason I decided I would become a part of it all those years ago. We still have a long way to go but thank you from the bottom of my heart. It’s hard to quantify or talk about exactly what I do over the internet. Especially because it’s a years long journey. But I’m always so proud of my clients. So often the fashion industry takes hold of us filling us with empty promises. Look, even to this day I make mistakes with my own wardrobe but you have power. Ask questions of yourself, of the objects you bring into your home, and put on your body. Whether it’s a thrift find or designer. It’s all within you. Things are just the expression of that energy. You are the star. Remember that!
