Quickest and busiest summer of my life. A quick couple trips back East, one to see my family for the first time in way too long, another for a last minute tractor pickup, and a third where we went just about halfway there, Colorado, to add another puppy to our pack. Celebrated 130 consecutive months on snow, a number I lost track of a few years back. Sammy returned, a long lost brother in shred who has been by my side for almost all of it.

Hero friends are hard to come by…17 months later and I still can’t slide my boot into my binding without thinking of Pash. Last weekend I strapped in on top of a sheet of steep ice deep on Carson Pass, while a massive forest fire started burning way too close to home. I could hear his stupid nasally voice telling me “get your fucking priorities straight.”

Sometimes I leave work and just drive or walk around in the woods hoping to get myself in a situation obscure enough to hear his reprimands. I think in doing this I’ve started to lose myself a little bit. I’ve lost time, lost focus and lost some purpose. Turns out, all I needed to do was to get on my snowboard, my dogs by my side and my best friend a few hundred yards below me, stressing out that his house my burn down before we get back to a trailhead.

As screen time increases in the workplace, I’m gonna start cutting back on the amount of time I stare into this device. Got a long list of things to do in a short amount of time, and I’m ready to pillage September for everything it’s worth.

30 year old slab that’s been hanging around since I was a kid. Dad and I finally got some time in the shop while he’s been here to make some fun pieces. Had @coolindarcy mill them in half. @doublea_1971 brought us over to @completemillworkservices in Carson City, it then got planed in the largest wood shop I’ve ever seen.. @sonofblackie made the legs routed the bow ties and sanded him hands off. Then we poured. Like a slice of salmon look at that texture. The traveling slab. taken in Minden, Nevada by @coolindarcy

Oh, what’s that? Your local hill closed down before winter decided to whisper her last secret?

CLASSIC!

Fortunately, @alpenglowsports has a few sets of @sparkrandd @nick_russelll pro bindings that have made the second half of my winter an absolute HOOT!

Weighing at under 3 pounds for the pair (1.42 lbs per foot) these puppies are setup for long days on the skin track, but the added foam cushioning on the footbed and highback give it a surfy feeling for those days where you keeping saying “uno mas…”

Splitboard season is extended in Tahoe! Run (for cardio) to your local and grab a setup. These new bindings have been a GAMECHANGER 🔌

Miracle March - WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED?

Start to finish, we dirt boarded as much as a keyboard wizard can possibly handle. Which turned out to be a lot.

Nice little loop with a week of splitboarding in the Sierra with some incredible reps&retailers, a few days of prep, on the road to Steamboat for @pashandburn with some incredible R&R,up to Jackson to clear the brain and then down to Salt Lake for #FirstLook at Milo and Bomb Hole Cup. Lots of miles, way more smiles!

Good food, good beer, good times, fast turns, late nights, 25 miles of splitboarding, one trip to @sunpies_bistro, a half dozen or so resorts…too many friends to list along the way but I love you all and snowboarding is STILL the best feeling on this god damn planet ✅✅ by @coolindarcy

#JonesCheeseWeek was off the hook! First time in Zermatt and Chamonix and both were incredible. Year 17 of Jones boards and year NINE of being part of the journey! The most well rounded collective I’ve ever seen and excited to go into battle with the best reps and retailers on the planet. Thank you @xavier.nidecker @erwinknoester @chriswesten @heidanikita for pumping out the best product on the planet!

A discovery I’d like to share with all North American retailers; Jones boards and Jones outerwear go together like melted cheese and white wine!
