Painting the last of the sun reflecting off the outgoing tide was like trying to capture a moving moment in time. I painted this piece largely on location in one of my favorite painting spots - on the edge of a road in Cape Elizabeth, with herons and egrets to keep me company. This 30” x 40” painting is on view at Portland Art Gallery @portlandartgallery #oilpainting #sunset #art #cottagestyle #marsh taken in Portland, Maine by @cooperdragonette
