As seen in @mainehomedesign magazine this space was designed to feel grand yet cozy. This Kennebunkport carriage house makes the most of every inch while embracing sweeping views of the salt marsh and ocean.

Inspired by the efficiency of a boat, the space features custom built-ins, hidden storage, berth-style bunks, a dresser tucked beneath the eaves, and even a pulley system that lowers a vintage surfboard from the ceiling. Thoughtful craftsmanship and soft coastal tones allow the carriage house to feel like a natural extension of the main property, with everything a family needs to settle in and stay awhile.

“Working with challenging spaces and designing custom millwork are two of our favorite things to do.”
— Brady-Anne Winn

Camden Public Library's fifth Camden on Canvas Plein Air Weekend was a great success! We are thrilled to announce that the Camden on Canvas auction raised an unofficial total of $70,525 for the library's Campaign for the Future! 🌈🎨

For two days, 21 talented landscape artists from around New England painted en plein air, bringing beloved and new perspectives of Camden and Rockport area to the canvas. On Sunday, we transformed the library into an exhibit space where the public poured in to see the fresh paintings, followed by a lively and well-attended reception. We then filled our beautiful and historic Reading Room for the exciting live auction, led by Kaja Veilleux of Thomaston Place Auction Galleries. Every painting went to a new home, with the artists donating 50% of the proceeds to the library.

We extend our gratitude to the artists, event supporters and sponsors, committee members, library staff and trustees, the community from near and far who joined us, those who bid on paintings, and the generous folks who opted to give an additional donation to the library during the auction. Together, we'll support our library's resilient future for years to come!

Marilynn Vander Schaaf joined me last night for the First Thursday opening at Portland Art Gallery. It was absolutely packed for my friends Cooper Dragonette, Catherine Breer, Annie Darling, and Susan Johnson.

Mom and I are standing in front of a wonderful encaustic painting by Dale O. Roberts. There were so many great pieces in this month’s show. I highly recommend stopping by the gallery to check them out for yourself.

(Final image is a cropped view of one of Cooper’s paintings. I love this piece titled “Interval.”)

Cooper Dragonette paints Maine from the inside out—capturing light, weather, and the quiet emotion of standing at the edge of the coast. His plein air studies and studio works feel less like views and more like memories you’ve already lived.

Maine painter Cooper Dragonette brings the coast to life through luminous plein air studies and soulful studio works. Based in Cape Elizabeth, he paints to capture not only a place, but the feeling of being there—shaped by years spent teaching, guiding outdoors, and exploring the landscape he loves. His oil paintings reflect memory, atmosphere, and a deep connection to Maine’s light and weather.

It took me a few weeks to post here about the ‘Reciprocity’ show because it was such an overwhelming dream come true. Little me would be over the moon to know that one day I would get to show my work alongside my hero and father and other incredible artists in such a beautiful space.. 🌙✨ Thank you to the Julio Larraz Foundation (and team @juliolarrazfoundation ) for all your tireless work putting together this exhibition. Thank you to @juliolarrazstudio for all your continuous mentorship and platforming of emerging artists, something that has become a part of your legacy. Thank you to the beautiful Ascaso family and team (@ascasogallery) for your generous support and seamless production, and to every single artist I was lucky enough to share this space with. I wish I had had much more time (and photos!) with each and every one of you but I know we will forever be cheering each other on, and it’s a great feeling. I feel very fortunate.. but even more so I feel energized to work harder and dream bigger and when I eventually can, to give back too 🫂
With love, M

‘Reciprocity’ is on at Ascaso Gallery in Miami, September 19 to November 19, 2025.
