If you blade chips or stick the club in the ground, this is why.

If you keep losing shots off the tee, stop trying to play the hole how you think it SHOULD be played.

If trouble is right and your normal miss is right… aim further fucking left 😂

If you don’t trust driver, don’t hit it.

If it’s a tough hole and you get a shot, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with treating it like a par 5.

Get it in play. Knock the next one up there. Get on the green and give yourself a chance.

You don’t get extra points for making par the pretty way 😂

Sometimes lowering your handicap is just losing the ego and making the game easier for yourself.

Golf is hard. Simplify it.

Struggling with the chipping yips? You might be making it harder than it needs to be.

One of my clients thought he had the yips.

He liked using his 60° wedge, but everyone was telling him not to. Then he started thinking about technique, positions, what club he should use… and before long he was thinking about everything apart from the actual fucking chip 😂

So we stripped it right back.

Use the club you trust.

See the shot in your head.

Pick where you want the ball to land.

Then react to that picture and hit the bloody thing.

He came back and told me it’s completely changed his chipping.

Sometimes another chipping tip isn’t what you need.

Sometimes you need to stop trying so hard to chip it “properly” and actually see the shot you’re trying to hit.

Golf is hard. Simplify it.

England Golf Lifetime Achievement Award winner. One of Golf Monthly’s top 50 coaches. And awarded a British Empire Medal for his work in golf and helping people with disabilities.

He even took an abandoned golf course and brought it back to life as @golfleicester @andersmankert

I went down to interview him, and honestly, seeing everything he’s achieved on that wall was something else.

If there’s trouble next to the pin, why bring it into play?

Give yourself room for the shot you actually hit, not the perfect shot you’ve got in your head.

I aimed left here, pushed it and finished about 2 foot away.

Good shot? Yeah.

But I wasn’t aiming there 😂

That’s the point.

Play for your misses and you’ll get rid of a lot of stupid doubles.
