So Cal Food Allergy TIP graduate 2020
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
“I wish I could go back and tell this little girl it was all going to be okay.” 💙

Cooper knows how big the feelings around dosing can get. There was fear, burnout, and days she just didn’t want to do it. What got her through was remembering what was waiting on the other side. Now she’s studying to become a child psychologist so kids with food allergies have the support she wished she’d had.

If your child gets nervous before appointments or doses, you’re not alone. Cooper’s story is a reminder that big feelings are normal, and so is needing a little extra support along the way.

Meet Cooper, the friendly face at our Vista Family Resource Desk. 💙

Cooper is a TIP graduate (class of 2020), a self-published children’s book author, and a future child psychologist studying at San Diego State University. Now she’s here to help families like yours feel at home.

If you see her at the desk, ask about our Patient Circle or the TIP Mentorship Program. She’s been where you are, and she can’t wait to meet you.

This is the first of four Remission Fridays this October. Come back every Friday to get to know her.

In honor of food allergy awareness month I wanted to share this past summer’s trip to Europe. It was an amazing experience to be able to go abroad and to eat anything my heart desired all thanks to the Food Allergy Institute. Food allergies have been a huge part of who I am and who I will continue to be. There is a world and community out there that not many people know about. I have met so many wonderful people and have made so many connections that I would have never had unless I opened myself up to the idea that being unique and different is the best thing in the world. I can proudly say I am not like everyone else, I am my own person and I owe that all to some of the most difficult years of my life. Food allergies are not easy to live with, it’s death constantly knocking at your door, the only thing you can do is avoid and be aware. The Food allergy Institute truly changed my life for the better and gave me the ability to eat anything and everything. So for anyone who is thinking about the program or actively in the program please feel free to reach out to me anytime, I would love to be a source of hope and optimism. 🩵🎗️ by @tpirc_org

This past week I got the pleasure to meet with THE Dr. Randhawa and explain the joy and drive I had when writing my book, and why I wanted to give back to these amazing people. I am so grateful for this opportunity and hopefully I will be able to collaborate with the Institute on another upcoming book… If you would like to purchase one and support this life changing program click the link in my bio🤍 by @tpirc_org
