Restoring hope. Advancing discovery. Empowering communities.

“We find the proper answers that help patients today. Not 30 years from now.” — Dr. Randhawa, Founder of TPIRC

The system wasn’t working. So we built a different one.

TPIRC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rare disease institute combining data science, research science, and clinical science — studying every angle possible to find real solutions for patients with rare and complex conditions.

This is why we exist. Follow along to see the work. 🔬

Fear is a part of living with food allergies.

Every meal is a calculation. Every school day carries risk. Every birthday party is a quiet emergency. And when the physical danger passes, the fear doesn’t.

For years, medicine treated the allergy. Nobody treated what the allergy did to the family.

This May, that changes.

TPIRC x FAI is building the first dedicated mental health program for food allergy families. Because surviving physically was never supposed to be enough.

Link in bio to help us build it.

Progress in medicine happens when science works together. 🧬

At TPIRC, our work is a self-reinforcing ecosystem. It’s a continuous cycle where Research leads to Discovery, powering precision Diagnostics. Through the lens of Data Science, we translate those insights into life-changing Clinical Care—but it doesn’t stop there.

Every patient outcome feeds back into our research, starting the cycle all over again. 🔄

Our mission is twofold:
1️⃣ To advance treatment discovery at a pace that helps our patients today.
2️⃣ To build a scalable model that accelerates research for all diseases.

By harnessing big data, we are unraveling the mysteries of rare diseases to restore hope to families around the world. 🌎

Connected science. Continuous impact.

“I wish I could go back and tell this little girl it was all going to be okay.” 💙

Cooper knows how big the feelings around dosing can get. There was fear, burnout, and days she just didn’t want to do it. What got her through was remembering what was waiting on the other side. Now she’s studying to become a child psychologist so kids with food allergies have the support she wished she’d had.

If your child gets nervous before appointments or doses, you’re not alone. Cooper’s story is a reminder that big feelings are normal, and so is needing a little extra support along the way.

💬 Got a question for Cooper? Drop it in our comments.

Follow along for a new Remission Friday every week in October.

Sometimes the answers aren’t obvious, and that doesn’t mean you did anything wrong. It can mean there are more questions worth asking.

Not sure where to start the conversation? Questions you can bring to your OB-GYN or fertility doctor:

- What have we looked into so far, and what haven’t we?
- Could the immune system play a role in my situation?
- Would it help to get another specialist’s view?

You don’t need a new plan today. Just know that more options for asking questions exist.

Dr. Yamak will work alongside your current doctors, not in place of them. Curious? Book at LAHA (link in bio) or call (562) 684-8096.

Food allergy anxiety is real, and you’re not alone. We asked our mentors to share the one thing that helps them most. Swipe to hear from them.

Katherine R. found that a steady routine made the journey manageable.

Hayley Hodge, FAI mentor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, focuses on what’s within her control and reminds us that every family’s journey looks different.

Jenna and her son Liam show it from both sides. A parent’s job isn’t to eliminate every worry. It’s to build confidence. And Liam has learned to be careful when he needs to be, without letting worry stop him.

Thank you, Katherine, Hayley, Jenna, and Liam, for sharing so openly.

Now we want to hear from you. What’s one thing that helps you or your child feel calmer? Tell us below, and tag a parent who needs the reminder that they’re not alone.

One finger prick, hundreds of tests? A lab scientist explains why that never added up.

The documentary You Can See Everything hits theaters October 16. Before you watch, Peter Ngo, laboratory manager at Aperture Immuno Diagnostics, breaks down what Theranos was and why it mattered to labs like ours.

For us, it comes down to transparency: if a result needs to be redone, we redo it, because patients’ health depends on getting it right.

Follow @tpirc_org for more from inside the Aperture lab.

After pregnancy loss or IVF that didn’t work, “bad luck” isn’t always the whole story.

Sometimes there’s something else going on, and that’s where reproductive immunology comes in.

A reproductive Immunologist isn’t here to replace your OB-GYN or your fertility doctor. They’re another set of eyes on one question: is your body ready to welcome this baby, or does it need a little more help?

If you’ve been through loss or failed transfers and still want answers, we’re here to talk. Book a visit at LAHA (link in bio) or call (562) 684-8096

Content for educational purposes. Consult your doctor for personal medical advice.

Your allergy test says “allergic to milk.” Your body says “I drink it all day.” 🤯

That’s cross-reactivity. Your immune system sees a protein in one thing (like dog dander) that looks a lot like a protein in another (like milk), and the test can’t always tell them apart. One test isn’t enough. It takes several high-quality tests, read together, to get the real answer.

Our Tolerance Induction Program tests the individual proteins, not just the whole food. That’s how we separate what your body reacts to from what only looks similar.

Have you ever had a test result that didn’t match real life? Tell us below 👇

$4,246 raised for the Access for All Grant. Thank you, Long Beach.

That’s more than four Access for All grants, each one covering a diagnostic test or treatment initiation for a child at Willow, the first step toward answers and a plan.

Long Beach Gives may be over, but the need isn’t. At TPIRC, our goal is for this grant to reach not just hundreds of patients, but thousands, and you can still be part of that. Every gift, at any time, helps another family take that first step.

Tap the link in our bio to keep supporting the Access for All Grant.
