POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

RELEASING A CHAPBOOK w/ @runyourmouthpress

So grateful to my dear editor friends @hirayama.amy and @simon_saysseattle —who are publishing my poetry for the first time in 5 years.

The release party is at @delusionalbirdshop - Saturday Nov 7th at 7pm. Seattle Civic Poet @dujietahat is joining me for the release performance🗓️ MARK YOUR CAL📈

“Bad News For Dreamers” is a furious book—about drugs, disability, and consumerism. How fun to rip out your brain and soul and slam it on paper and give it to the city like a wet electric sponge. No matter how bad it gets I have this little book—which says there is wonder at rock bottom and love in surviving illness. Hope you’ll join the ride. by @corbinlouis

My ALBUM ‘King of Junk’ is here💽

This project is the 2 decade result of addiction, autism, writing poetry📝 and then finally getting sober enough to make my best possible work💡

This album feels like the one thing I was born to do🛎 Culminating purpose in punk screams and sonnets. ‘King of Junk’ is proof that an artist’s dreams are stronger than suicide attempts and heroin🎈

But when I do leave, with this record I think I’ve done my job🧬These 13 songs are every part of my struggle, skill, resilience and joy. So here you go—the most vulnerable and powerful offering I can give🩸King of Junk. Linked in bio. Thank you to the huge crew of artists who helped usher a creative destiny into the world📡

NEW BOOK REVEAL➡️

BOOK RELEASE EVENT - Nov 7 at 7pm @delusionalbirdshop

Chapbook by @runyourmouthpress and publishers @hirayama.amy @simon_saysseattle

Event features poets @dujietahat and @troyosaki

“In Bad News for Dreamers a world of blurred street light and alarming candor plays out like scenes of a violent noir. Up against the insanity of empire, xanax and fentanyl, dead friends and lost highways, Louis survives as an empath spewing poetry as modernized incantation. These poems boom across urban canyons with natural talky rhythms.“ —Simon Wolf

💕BOOK COVER ALERT🧠

Featured Reader @dujietahat 🐐

Legend @troyosaki on deck🔌

For the love of photos and opiates and most of all people. I’m one month off nicotine. I’m 50,000 photos deep. Thank you to my friends. I’m realizing how vulnerable friendship is. To risk rejection of the most sacred thing—the self and connection. Love hurts. It’s a high stakes wager. You bet the cringe and chaos of your heart against a stranger’s acceptance. Terrible odds if you be yourself. Worthless if you don’t. The prize is everything. To be seen, invited, made human.

But apparently I love saying stupid shit then over analyzing it for days. Oh well. Whatever happens there will always be cigarettes and pills waiting—empty train tracks to haunt. If ghosts do exist human loneliness is enough to eat them whole. How can you fear an unemployed spirit when there’s 9 to 5 and Costco parking lots? Trapped in long lines with no one to text. How embarrassing to be alive. What an ingrown hair and bunion of a life. We suffer constant demand, and if you’re lucky someone will be kind enough to recognize it and sit with you on a bench. If you’re really lucky they will say “despite your horrible brain, I still like you.” by @corbinlouis

Congrats to @theguyla on his album release. Where the studio hot box was biblical and I smoked 2 joints of second hand. I’d have it no other way. No other choice but to chain 6mg zyn from @kenzokressbach Then read poetry at Open Books—treat the city like a demented playground. Always was.

A place to survive with bad coping and shotgun loud laughter. Tossing back Gabapenton and unknown compounds—rapping in late sunsets on the bluffs of destiny. I have eaten Belltown and Shoreline and always The Hill. I have become aching and ferocious and starving for constellations. by @corbinlouis
