My wonderful wife cannot stop smiling!! ❤️

The Snow Knows Outdoor Living team visited our home to analyze our backyard and the spot we want our patio, fire pit and seating wall built. 🌞

Now, Snow Knows has provided their first round of design mockups. I’m going to share our three favorite design mockups so far. Here’s one option we’re considering. 🔥

Swipe 👉👉 to track the progress of the project, which will eventually feature a custom 275-square foot Keystone Panorama patio, custom Harrington seating wall, a custom Keystone fire pit, hand-picked plantings, boulder accents, river surge and freshly laid sod right next to our swimming pool.

My wife and I are pumped for fire-pit nights with our sons, cookouts with our family and friends and ice cold drinks by the swimming pool! 🍔 🍻

I’m going to document this project on The @ilovecville Network, including design renderings, design meetings, material selections, conversations with my wife and the @snowsgardencenter team and much more! You will see the flip book of “The Charlottesville Ultimate Outdoor Makeover” from start to finish!!

Every project starts with a vision (and some red Virginia clay!). ❤️ 💪

The Miller Family is launching an exciting backyard transformation in partnership with Snow Knows Outdoor Living.

We’re calling it, “The Charlottesville Ultimate Outdoor Makeover” by @snowsgardencenter!

We were sitting on the beach today when a simple moment turned into something I won’t forget.

A little boy’s purple toy octopus drifted out into the ocean. The water was cold—about 50 degrees—and his parents stood there, wanting to help but not able to go in.

Lincoln didn’t hesitate.

He jumped up, ran into the cold water in his wetsuit, and brought it back. You could hear the excitement in the boy’s voice as he got it back… pure joy. No big thank you, no recognition—just a quiet moment. Lincoln waved to the parents, and you could see the gratitude in their expressions.

And I couldn’t help but think…

That’s what Easter is all about.

So often in life, we find ourselves like that little boy—something has drifted out of reach. We need help, but we can’t quite get there on our own.

And that’s when the Savior steps in.

Jesus Christ didn’t stand on the shore. He didn’t wait for things to be easy or comfortable. He stepped into our world—into the cold, into the struggle, into the distance between where we are and where we need to be.

Because of Him, nothing is ever truly lost.

As we celebrate Easter, I’m reminded that we are also called to follow Him—to notice the need, to step in, to act… even when it’s uncomfortable, even when no one sees, even when no one says thank you.

Sometimes being a disciple simply means being willing to get in the water.

I’m grateful for my Savior. I testify that He lives—that He is risen—and that He is always reaching for us.

Merry Christmas 🎄✨

Today we celebrate the greatest gift ever given—the birth of a tiny baby who changed everything. No throne, no crown… just a manger, a promise, and a whole lot of love. Jesus came small, humble, and full of grace—reminding us that the most powerful things in life don’t come wrapped in glitter.

So grateful for family, friends, laughter around the table, and the beautiful chaos that makes this life so special. Thankful for the love we share and the hope we carry forward because of Him.
