Pac said “Keep Ya Head Up”… casting said “and keep that résumé updated.” 😂😂
Nah, for real didn’t get the role, but getting P📍N N E D & making it that deep into the process of portraying Tupac Shakur was a win I’m proud of. You don’t get that close by accident.
Major love to @kia.toddtalentagency, @sheila.legette & @giovanniw for helping me study, sharpen, transform and walk into that process READY. Y’all had me so locked in I damn near started answering the phone “Makaveli speaking.” 😂

Was it the ending I wanted? Nah.

But if THIS is what a “no” looks like nowadays…

I’m finna be alright. 😂🎬

Back to work. More on the horizon. 🌅 #snoop #movie #kiatoddtalentagency #dreams by @coreymekell

Little man… if I could tell you anything, I’d tell you to keep those eyes exactly where they are looking up.
You have no idea where they’re about to take you.
You’re gonna leave home and see parts of the world you don’t even know exist yet. You’re gonna sing, act, dance, write songs, stand on stages you once watched from a screen, tour the country, see your name in places you dreamed about, and somehow turn that little imagination of yours into an actual life.
It won’t all be pretty, though.
You’re gonna hear “no” when you were sure God said “yes.” You’re gonna get close enough to some dreams to touch them… and still have to watch them walk away. You’ll lose money, make mistakes, question yourself, start over more than once, and have nights where the man you become wishes he could crawl back beside you on that floor for a minute.
But listen to me:
None of it will take that look out of your eyes.
This many years later, you’re still dreaming. Still creating. Still betting on yourself. Still believing there’s more.
And after everything I know now, if I could sit beside you for five minutes, I wouldn’t warn you about a damn thing.
I’d just whisper…
“Keep looking up, lil’ man. You wouldn’t believe where we’ve been… and we still ain’t done.” ❤️

[ 🎗️Reminder ]

Life don’t stop… so neither do I.

The highs kept me grateful. The lows built my armor.

Keep going. The version of you you’re chasing is waiting on the other side of what you’re surviving.
