Lake City Alpine 50! 31 miles with 6100 in vertical gain, ends with 19 miles of mixed downhill terrain.

The race starts in town, put in some miles around Lake San Cristibol then a good climb up to Cinnamon Pass. From Cinnamon Pass some rough and loose downhill with a hard climb to Engineer Pass. This was a challenging race, surrounded by exquisite views! by @coriben

My experience with Speedgoat 50k started in 2011, that ended in a DNF. Since then I’ve finished this race 9 times. Not sure why I keep going back, it’s the toughest 50k in the US. 33 miles 10,400 in vert✌️Maybe Jenn and I can talk each other into doing 1 more time😂. @speedgoatmtnraces taken in Snowbird Resort by @coriben

Running with the Babes and the Bulls. We had the mountain to ourselves until we hit Albion, where the wildflowers were showing off along with the brides to be and happy couples taking photos, all of it was so perfect. Easily one of the most beautiful hike/runs I’ve ever been on.
