Welcome to the most humble experience of my life ✨

1 month postpartum > 6 months postpartum

I’ve been thinking about sharing this for over a week now and it hasn’t gotten any less scary. I’m not even 100% sure why. Maybe it was because I had unrealistic expectations that it would be easier, faster, or that I’d be farther along by now. That the world around me believes 6 months is plenty long enough to “bounce back”. It makes it very intimidating to be on here and talk about what I accomplished when my mind convinces me it’s not enough.

But then I think about the process…

How the first month was mostly focused on loading up with whole foods and protein to set up my hormones for long term success. Just a diet for postpartum physical and mental health - along with endless newborn cuddles.

How months 2 - 6, the goal was not an intense cut and losing weight as fast as possible. But prioritizing milk production and energy to return to working out while seeing a steady drop of the numbers. To build my strength and stamina back without sacrificing the ability to feed my baby or affect the healing of my body and hormones.

This postpartum diet style means I get to gain long term benefits for my body and mind because they got the nutrients they needed.

That’s what I’m proud of. Working hard to eat clean, hit my macros and life weights for me and my baby’s health with a steady fat loss. Not only being able to fit in my hunting clothes this fall but also being built for the hunt.

This truly is thanks to my friend and coach who always pushed that mindset when the big picture was hard for me to see. He made sure my macros were always supporting my body as my fitness levels went up and as my baby’s appetite grew. He cracked the whip and pumped the breaks as my body needed it 🙌🏼 I am so appreciative of you, Tom!

So here’s me bragging about my accomplishment of steadily becoming a muscle mommy with a healthy, chubby baby from my milk production 💪🏽

Slowly rebuilding my body and getting back to my favorite things 🙌🏼

This postpartum season has felt slow at times not being able to participate in things like I used to, or show up in ways people are expecting me to because I have new priorities.

But wow I feel so lucky to be his whole world.

And I can’t wait to enter whitetail season a better version of myself and show my cool little dude just what his mom is capable of 😎 🦌
