If anyone would have told me 5 years ago i would be holiday-ing at the English seaside i would have smiled politely as i planned a trip more "exotic"

Thanks to an old friend living in #margate and a very kind invitation to stay i had the pleasure to have a wonderful trip into nostalgia and spend valuable quality time with my baby.

Tree geeking - Hankerchief Tree. The flowers actually do look like hankerchiefs. They are rare trees....only 2 in Kent. Oh and bluebells....always gorge. taken in Faversham, Kent by @corinne_webbo

Well, the year that shan't be named was a toughie but it also gave lots of valuable lessons and useful reminders about what actually really matters in life. It gave me the chance to do things that I'd been procrastinating over for ages and made me realise how resourceful I can be.
I also finally got over my creative block. This is the first fabric design I've finished in years. For that I'm feeling pretty chuffed with it. What's more I'm looking forward to starting the next one.

For anyone who is feeling blocked creatively the Artists Way by Julia Cameron is immensely useful. Hayley and John I've done it! Thank you Hayley for putting me onto the AW. Rosie and Martha I have finally got round to doing the Cyanotype design! taken in Margate, Kent by @corinne_webbo

My Dad used to take me on a tour of his favourite house decs near them in Dorset. So, I've always had an admiration and props for the sometimes slightly ridiculous efforts (not to mention the leccy bill) that people go to in decorating their houses. This year I was super appreciative of it. Thanet didn't disappoint.
