Today would've been our baby girl's 11th birthday. Yes, past tense. A week ago today, just two hours before Adam's birthday, we said goodbye to Dear Prudence.
We didn't want this horrible memory to pop up as a reminder on that date each year. Instead, decided her birthday would be best as a memorial. You'd also be surprised by how many people we felt best to tell ourselves rather than them finding out on social media. Pru built a village in her short 10 years on Earth. Lastly, we needed to grieve. Canceled plans, once in a lifetime events, and avoided the photos folder on our phones... and we appreciate those who have already grieved with us and those who are understanding that you're finding out a week later.
This was the first and only pet we adopted together. The first symbol of commitment Adam and I made that indicated we were in this relationship for the long haul. She was both our first dog in adulthood aside from childhood pets. It's the most painful heartbreak we have had to feel simultaneously. I didn't think Jude would have to suffer another loss before his clock ran out. I'm just thankful he has Ringo and both don't seem to notice the horrible silence and emptiness that's filling our home.
If you ever loved our dog, whether admiring her beautiful face through photos or those who dared to show patience through her "tough girl" act long enough to become her friend... thank you. Prudence never forgot a friend.
In our last moments together we fed her a large McDonald's french fry and I said "your Grandpa is going to be so surprised to see you!" Without missing a beat, she perked up and cocked her head. The same way she always has whenever she heard a name of someone she loved. by @corlissonair

Some friends just have a way of bringing you back to yourself. The kind who have seen you through the highs, the lows, the completely unhinged eras, and all the seasons of life, and somehow still know exactly how to bring out the parts of you that got buried somewhere in the middle of it all.

Sometimes all it takes is the right person, the right night, and a completely random wedding where you show up as the plus one to remember what it feels like to be that version of yourself again.

Last weekend I bleached my roots for the last time. With help from my friend, Refresh by Valeria, I'll spend the next year or so protecting what hair I currently have and supporting the growth of my natural hair! Either that, or I'm gonna rock this look into my 80s 😉 because HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THESE DREADS?! by @corlissonair

@countrystampede day 2 was FULL of surprises and incredible memories were made.
Not only did we introduce my niece @katewelcher and @jacereyesss to their first Stampede, but also to the outstanding sound of @thewilderblue
2nd surprise was when the guys realized we were there! As if @zanewilliams @paul.eason @lyndonhughes @andybanjorogers and @mrfretless should already know we'd travel anywhere to enjoy their show.

Not pictured.. my 1st @therealtracylawrence concert, and my 10TH @rascalflatts !!!!
Plus all of the friends that we reconnected with. I didn't realize how much we missed our Stampede family in just 2-3 years apart.. but these people watched me grow up. Many I've known long before my husband.

To those of you who stopped attending the festival, whether it was when it moved to Topeka or KC, I HIGHLY suggest you give it another shot in 2027 when they rebuild at Gilly's in Wichita. Who knows, you might even see us there. taken in Azura Amphitheater by @corlissonair

Day 1 of the @countrystampede 30th Anniversary!
Our hearts are overflowing after reconnecting with old friends as well as making this weekend a family affair.
It always was a merge between Adam's family and mine until my dad left us. But we were able to bring our niece @katewelcher for the first time and it's the juiciest cherry on top.

Aggieland! We're hitting up ALL the live music tonight and I'm on the last leg of our TCMA campaign..
First, the final @cityofcollegestation Starlight Music Series of 2026 at Wolf Pen Creek Amphitheater featuring @ramherreraofficial and my friend @sunnyytodoeso who you could nominate in numerous categories!
Then there's finally some live music back at my home, @thetapbcs FYI, plenty of walk up tickets for @mackgeigermusic and you can nominate them for Live Music Venue of the Year!
