An island blooming in conservation efforts, space to breathe and memories made away from the digital world (now that really is chic)…

Can’t wait to share more from this magical weekend. Head to the @cornwallwildlifetrust website to find your way here 🤎

Did you think I might be the expert? Easy confusion but it is in fact @gemmanewman999 from @cornwallwildlifetrust who I spent a lovely extremely warm morning with trying to spot Dolphins at St Anthony’s Head in Cornwall. Even though we saw absolutely no dolphins, zero, we had a really great time educating each other.

Do you love dolphins? If not why not?? If you are interested, it’s really important people look for dolphins and count them and so Cornwall Wildlife Trust’s Seaquest Southwest runs regular public seawatches and survey sessions, giving everyone the chance to get involved with marine conservation in Cornwall. Which I think is pretty cool. Maybe we should all do one together?

For now, I hope you enjoy watching us watch out for Dolphins 🐬

Come for a day discovering what’s happening beneath the seabed here in Cornwall with @cornwallwildlifetrust & @one_atlantek 🦞🪸🌊

If you saw my last day out volunteering with the Trust, collecting seagrass seeds, this was such a special follow on to see a completely different side of the work happening beneath our waters!!

The best part is that you can actually book onto one of these days yourself! One Atlantek have partnered with Cornwall Wildlife Trust to give you the chance to get out on the water, get hands on with marine research, learn more about our incredible underwater habitats and hopefully spot some of the amazing wildlife that calls St Austell Bay home just like us today!🐬

All the dates and details are on the One Atlantek website if you fancy getting involved! Or if volunteering is more your thing, Cornwall Wildlife Trust also has opportunities to get involved with their seagrass work and help protect our incredible marine habitats…💙

Sometimes conservation looks surprisingly fluffy.

Welcome Oak and Birch, the newest members of our conservation grazing team at Penhale Dunes.

They're helping us look after this special landscape, one
mouthful at a time. 🐐

Friday Photo Series: Triggerfish in the kelp forest. It’s been incredible to encounter these amazing animals here in the UK, to see these extravagant looking fish swimming through our kelp forests has felt somewhat surreal.

Connecting land and sea. Connecting nature and community. 🌿

Today, members of the Duchy team attended the launch of @cornwallwildlifetrust Tor to Shore project, an initiative focused on restoring nature and engaging communities across the Par River area.

Following the signing of our Memorandum of Understanding with Cornwall Wildlife Trust, we’re excited to support projects like this and explore further opportunities to work together for the benefit of nature and people in Cornwall.

Hear from project manager Gwen Maggs as she shares what Tor to Shore looks like on the ground and the impact it could have for the community and wider landscape including the Duchy’s Restormel Valley. by @cornwallwildlifetrust

What an incredible evening!

We headed out with @cornwallwildlifetrust on a beaver walk to visit a site that they are using to show people the incredible benefits of having a beaver on your land! It was absolutely amazing to see what the beavers had created, we visited during the heat wave with everywhere looking so dry and as we entered the site it was like walking into an oasis, so lush and full of life, it was absolutely brilliant, and definetly a night I won’t forget 😍
