When I started editing and directing @butterflyinablizzard, iris was still little enough that I could just prop her up in my arms and she could breastfeed while I continued to cut. Today, as we finally get to share it with the world, she’s running around after her big brother, Kirk and thriving in preschool. Like most moms, I’m not really sure how I was able to pull it all off, but here we are. Big shout out to my mom, my dad and my partner for their infinite support. Kimmy called me when I was nine months pregnant with my second and asked me to help tell her story. I couldn’t say yes fast enough. She has been inspiring me as a snowboarded for years, and as I began to uncover her story layer by layer, she has inspired me beyond measure as a woman and a mother. This film is about as honest and raw and vulnerable as it gets. I’m fortunate enough to care deeply about everything I work on… but this one is extra special.

I took my first turns on a snowboard at the ripe old age of 24 - on a Burton social. I was hooked, and changed the entire course of my life chasing that high. I moved to the mountains, met my future husband and somehow carved out a career for myself.

While editing #DearRider, I crossed into the next phase of life. Stephen and I welcomed Kirk in the spring, and he just so happened to put his hand in snow for the first time this morning.

So I mean it with my whole heart when I say: Thank you, Jake.🤍 by @corr.rose

I’m still in shock and humbled by the love and support. Holy sh*t. We did it. This was an incredible team that told an outstanding story. I love you all.
