ARTIST’S STATEMENT

Although society has made progress toward believing the testimonies of women and girls about sexual assault since the #MeToo movement emerged in 2017, we still see a collective willingness to elevate the wealthy and powerful over their accusers—a pushback that threatens to undo our gained awareness.

My new work is a creative invitation to confront disparities of power through a deconstructed framework of storytelling surrounding this issue—one which challenges the systemic false narratives grooming all of us into tolerating, allowing, and accepting sexual exploitation and abuse of women and girls.

FALL OF FREEDOM at Corridor 2122 🕊️
Join us as we reflect on the ways personal and collective freedoms erode in times of conflict, censorship, and fear. Come have a dialogue about the collapse of safety, autonomy, and truth, and the resilience that rises in their place.
