Big thanks to Christopher White for the nomination and Dr Cam McDonald and the team for mentoring and guiding me to be the best me. Now to change the world team! by @corriefitch

JUST ABS!!
Don’t forget we all move differently and need different movement times. So adjust this to what suits your unique body.
Some of you will pump this out. Others will do the movement and hold it. You will know what feels right. It’s just about having a go. by @corriefitch

Our perception of exercise fascinates me. I spoke to four people this week who said they didn’t exercise because they didn’t have time.

Don’t get me wrong, I get it, life is busy.

When I asked them to tell me about their day, yes it was flat out. But their perception of exercise was spending an hour at the gym or running/walking around the lake.

It doesn’t have to be 1 hour, it doesn’t even have to be 30 minutes. It just has to be!

We’ve stopped moving as a society! And we’re becoming unhealthy because of it.

When we create goals that are so far out of reach we don’t do them.

So, stop creating goals that you know you won’t achieve. Start creating the ones you will!

Put your joggers on and take 10 more minutes to walk the long way to grab your lunch!

Take the stairs each morning at work.

Challenge your kids to a race each day when you get home.

Turn your house work into your fitness program and crank the music.

When you shift your mindset and create achievable goals you shift your life. by @corriefitch

Ingredients
1/2 cup Coconut Oil, solid at room temperature, similar to softened butter
3/4 cups Coconut Sugar
1 medium Egg
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1/2 cup Cocoa Powder
3/4 cups Blanched Almond flour
3/4 cups Hazelnut flour
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 cup Chopped Dark chocolate - 70% or higher
1/2 cup Toasted Hazelnuts, roughly chopped
1 pinch Flaky Sea Salt, to sprinkle on top, optional

Instructions
1	Beat together the coconut oil and coconut sugar until smooth. Add the egg or flax egg and vanilla and mix until smooth.
2	Add the cocoa powder, almond flour, hazelnut flour, salt, and baking soda to the wet ingredients. Mix until well incorporated. Fold in the chopped chocolate and hazelnuts.
3	Use a cookie scoop to form cookies and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet; press down slightly. Place in the refrigerator for an hour if you want thicker cookies (I did this), otherwise, you can bake right away.
4	When you're ready to bake, preheat the oven to 180ºC.
5	Before baking, sprinkle with flaky sea salt if desired. Bake for 10 minutes or just set.
6	Store in an airtight container for up to a week.

Different bodies move differently. What my body needs from a fitness perspective will not be the same as what your body needs. Here Christina and Corrie show you different way each movement can be done to suit different individuals.
If your body moves like Corrie try 20 reps of each exercise. If it moves like Christina, slow it right down and hold the movement longer doing only 6reps. Both ways get results!!

This is why I love my work so much. When you realised you were right about the needs and wants of your body the whole time and then someone clarified your thoughts, there was a great sense of relief. The ultimate search for the ‘why’ ceased because deep down you always knew who you were. You just doubted yourself because everyone else was doing something different. Which is what they were meant to be doing because not one of us if the same. Trust in you!

Eating healthy is all about balance. Try this for a treat.

200 grams Dark Chocolate, broken into pieces
170 grams Cocoa and Hazelnut Butter
4 large Eggs, beaten
150 grams Coconut Sugar or Light Brown Soft Sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla Bean Paste or Extract
150 grams Hazelnut, finely ground

1	Preheat the oven to 180°C, fan 160°C, gas 4. Lightly grease and line a 20cm-square tin.
2	Gently melt the chocolate, either in a bowl set over a pan of simmering water or in the microwave, stirring occasionally until smooth.
3	Set aside to cool slightly.
4	Stir the cocoa and hazelnut butter well, then reserve 2 tablespoons to swirl into the brownies.
5	Put the rest into a large bowl and beat together with the eggs, sugar and vanilla for 1 minute.
6	Stir in the ground hazelnuts or almonds and melted chocolate until combined and smooth.
7	Pour the batter into the prepared tin.
8	Using a teaspoon, drizzle the reserved hazelnut butter over the top in a swirl pattern.
9	Increase this effect by using a cocktail stick, if you wish.
10	Bake the brownies for 30 minutes, or until just cooked.
11	Remove from the oven and allow to cool in the tin for 20 minutes before removing to completely cool on a wire rack.
12	Cut into squares and serve.

It’s been a while! Hello team, happy holiday season. I pulled this workout from files as it’s not great for an outdoor workout here in Canberra. For those who don’t live local Australia is on fire, the air is thick and we’re bunkered down inside so we don’t have to breath in the smoke. But that doesn’t need to stop us from getting in a workout. Here’s one for the lounge room.

Try 15 - 20 of each. 10 minutes on the clock and as many rounds as possible. .

There is one week in every year where our bodies needs to relax and rejuvenate. That week is different for each and everyone of us.
For me this is the second week in May. For the past two years I have worked through this week and ignored the recommendations. And each time within a few days I have come down with a cold or flu.
This year I am planning ahead and booking a week off. If you knew booking a week off during the year would help your body reenergise for the rest of the year would you take it? I know I would definitely prefer to rest and rejuvenate.
While juggling a career and family life one week out of the year seems small in comparison to when it means feeling great for the rest of the year or battling ill health. How do you ensure you’re in your best health? #wellness#corporatewellness #healthcare #selfcare #wellbeing #healthandwellness #ph360 #shaewellness #shae #corrievan #cvph #downtime by @corriefitch
