"Els camins de la Guerra" is condensed in this book as one of the most significant components of my final degree project. It brings together all the processes I have followed throughout my journey as both student and graphic designer. This book offers the viewer a guided path through which to engage with the installation I have also produced.

Wunder Kammer of Contemporary Artifacts

An exploration of the transformation of visual language through the digitization and materialization of historical artifacts. Using the Museum Wormianum and other cabinets of curiosities as a primary case study, I look at how these objects can be translated into digital/media assets through existing online digital media.

For my latest project, I performed a Vertical Cartography on a single digital archive to expose the hidden strata of computation. By drilling down through my laptop, I moved past the "weightless" interface to find the 37 distinct minerals that make our digital lives possible.

Using the Software Carbon Intensity (SCI) framework, I calculated that this hardware "exhales" nearly 6g of CO2 every hour just for existing. To materialize this research, I’ve formalized the project into two pieces of fabric sewn together, representing the inseparable bond between the digital Interface and the physical Earth Layer. Inspired by Benjamin Bratton’s The Stack and the Vertical Atlas, this work is a forensic trace of the "waste-making" process we rarely see.

In the world of art history, Aby Warbourg completely changed the way traditional art was categorized and analyzed. He studied the interplay of images from different periods and cultural contexts.

Warbourg's method consisted in rearranging canonized images and looking at them across epochs. During this project I have explored the potential of using Aby's approach to relational archiving, using the @rijksmuseum digital collection as my database, to explore new ways of practicing visual research, creating bridges and narratives between images.

My methodology has been very influenced by other artists and curators that have already worked with the world of archiving and visual research such as Batia Suter, Thibault Tormente and Gemma Penya Ferrer. by @cos.artur
