It’s called a pocket nook 🤍 in the kitchen at James by @mckimm The display cupboard, tea cupboard, snack cupboard - beautifully detailed bespoke pocket doors with fluted glass inserts. Sitting perfectly upon a Calacatta Vagli bench top with a bullnose edge detail. One of my favourite moments in the home. Some details are there to be seen. Others are there to be felt. These Diana Royal marble treads were finished with a custom Greek Key non-slip profile, proving that practical details don’t have to look ordinary. Framed by the beautiful timber wall panelling by Cos Interiors, the warmth of the timber and the natural movement of the stone complement each other perfectly. It’s always rewarding to be part of a project where every trade contributes something special. @msm.stone @cosinteriors @surfacespectrum #marblestairs #stonedesign #customstone #luxuryinteriors #craftsmanshipmatters by @cosinteriors

"A masterful team-up with @cosinteriors, and a beautiful case study in the use of our Applied Metal, not only to realise the architects’ vision in full – but also to create something truly unique." Few things are as satisfying as seeing a hand-drawn sketch evolve into something built, weighted and real. For the Sands residence by McKimm, Formanova translates concept into craft with statement features and refined architectural detail. In the master walk-in robe, a custom curved rail anchors the space. It’s a small object, yet pivotal. Designed, engineered and finished with the same care as larger architectural elements, it captures what Formanova brings to every project - the ability to support a full spatial vision or focus entirely on one precise feature. Swipe right to read how Isabella Cini – Manager of Interior Design at McKimm collaborated with Formanova to bring her concepts to life. Drop us a DM to learn how we can do it for you. Architects: @mckimm Metal Fabrication: @formanova.aus Photography @sharyncairns Featured in @vogueliving . . . . . . #Handcrafted #ArchitecturalDesign #LuxuryInteriors #steel #LuxuryHomes #stainlesssteel #BespokeDesign #brass #bronze #CustomMade #attentiontodetail #ModernDesign #detailmatters #InteriorArchitecture #ContemporaryDesign #FineCraftsmanship #LuxuryLiving #TimelessDesign #MetalArt #PrecisionEngineering #custommetalwork #MasterCraftsmanship #LuxurySpaces #custommetal #ArtAndDesign #InnovativeDesign #patina #CustomFabrication #BespokeMetalwork #ArchitecturalElements by @cosinteriors

At the heart of Sands by McKimm is a quiet mastery in metal. Formanova’s architectural metalwork moves beyond ornament to help shape the rhythm of this four-level Brighton home. In the bar, all elements—benchtop, cabinet fronts, floating shelves and cellar door—are brass with a custom patina. Our R-Zero™ profile defines the joinery, while integrated glass hangers complete the shelving. Executed with precision and purpose, Formanova’s work brings weight, balance and continuity—where craftsmanship becomes architecture. Architects: @mckimm Metal Fabrication: @formanova.aus Photography @sharyncairns Featured in @vogueliving . . . . . . #Handcrafted #ArchitecturalDesign #LuxuryInteriors #steel #LuxuryHomes #stainlesssteel #BespokeDesign #brass #bronze #CustomMade #attentiontodetail #ModernDesign #detailmatters #InteriorArchitecture #ContemporaryDesign #FineCraftsmanship #LuxuryLiving #TimelessDesign #MetalArt #PrecisionEngineering #custommetalwork #MasterCraftsmanship #LuxurySpaces #custommetal #ArtAndDesign #InnovativeDesign #patina #CustomFabrication #BespokeMetalwork #ArchitecturalElements by @cosinteriors

Sands by McKimm is defined by its quiet curves and confident materials. Throughout the four-level Brighton home, bronze metal features bring strength and softness in equal measure. Arched thresholds and sculpted ceilings flow gently between spaces, anchored by textured finishes that invite touch. Warm metals meet pale oak, travertine and Venetian plaster in a palette that feels both refined and enduring. From custom bronze detailing to hand-finished joinery, every element has been considered for depth, light and longevity. Built with precision, designed to move with life. Architecture and Interiors: @mckimm Joinery: @cosinteriors Metal Fabrication: @formanova.aus Photography: @sharyncairns Featured in: @vogueliving . . . . . . #Handcrafted #ArchitecturalDesign #LuxuryInteriors #steel #LuxuryHomes #stainlesssteel #BespokeDesign #brass #bronze #CustomMade #attentiontodetail #ModernDesign #detailmatters #InteriorArchitecture #ContemporaryDesign #FineCraftsmanship #LuxuryLiving #TimelessDesign #MetalArt #PrecisionEngineering #custommetalwork #MasterCraftsmanship #LuxurySpaces #custommetal #ArtAndDesign #InnovativeDesign #patina #CustomFabrication #BespokeMetalwork #ArchitecturalElements by @cosinteriors

Pushing boundaries is part of the brief. Alongside Powell & Glenn, we were asked to bring an island bench to life but the organic curves and non-standard shape presented a problem. Standard metalworking techniques weren't going to cut it. WE Applied Metal. Two years in development. Built for moments like this. Collaborating with COS Interiors, the first CNC-machined a custom MDF core, then we applied our proprietary finish... A spray-on brass, which was then polished, layered, hand-aged, and sealed. The result? A sculptural centrepiece that’s as enduring as it is elevated. Design demands more. We deliver. Architecture & Interiors: @powellandglenn Metal Fabrication: @formanova.aus Landscaping: @mylesbaldwindesign Construction: @level_ak Styling: @watts.studio Photography: @sharyncairns . . . . . . #Formanova #AppliedMetal #ArchitecturalDetails #InteriorArchitecture #InteriorDesign #Construction #ResidentialConstruction #InteriorFitouts #AttentionToDetail #DetailMatters #CustomMetal #CustomMetalWork #FormanovaFinishes #ArchitecturalFinishes #BespokeMetalwork #InnovativeMaterials #DesignMeetsCraft #SculpturalSurfaces #CustomJoineryDetails #HighEndInteriors #MetalInDesign #PowdercoatAlternative #BrassFinish #HandAgedSurfaces #MaterialInnovation #CNCJoinery #DesignFabrication #ArchitectsOfDetail #ModernCraftsmanship #MadeForArchitecture by @cosinteriors
