It’s called a pocket nook 🤍 in the kitchen at James by @mckimm The display cupboard, tea cupboard, snack cupboard - beautifully detailed bespoke pocket doors with fluted glass inserts. Sitting perfectly upon a Calacatta Vagli bench top with a bullnose edge detail. One of my favourite moments in the home. Some homes are built. This one was rebuilt from the frame up! Rokker House. A late-1800s home carefully dismantled to its frame and reconstructed, paired with a pared back rear extension in off-white brick linked by a corridor that shifts you from period intimacy into light. A sculptural curved ceiling sweeps over the living spaces like a piano’s profile. A full basement, excavated through solid rock. A glazed window drawing light below ground. Unforgiving finishes, executed with precision. A home that honours its history and lives for today, grounded in its coastal Williamstown setting. ALTURA // CURVE Sculptural curves take centre stage at Altura, creating a striking connection between each level. The sweeping forms of the staircase and balustrade bring softness to the architecture while drawing the eye through the home. @nathanjacobsphoto @creativewindowsau @zealroofing @ahbricksnpavers @ahbrickandblock @proglow_electrics @cosinteriors @nasahiau @nexisexterior @r_m_carpentry_vic @purebuildcarpentry @gillbuilt_ @melsteel_ @megabrickandblocks @o2_architects #melbournebuilder #builttolast #residentialbuilder #boutiquebuilder #houseinspiration

ALTURA PROJECT // STAIRCASE A staircase designed to feel less like a transition between levels and more like a sculptural feature within the home. Soft curves and seamless plasterwork come together to create a space that feels light, architectural and considered from every angle. @nathanjacobsphoto @inflowplumbing @creativewindowsau @zealroofing @ahbricksnpavers @ahbrickandblock @proglow_electrics @cosinteriors @nasahiau @nexisexterior @r_m_carpentry_vic @purebuildcarpentry @gillbuilt_ @melsteel_ @megabrickandblocks @o2_architects #melbournebuild #boutiquebuild #stairdesign #stairsinspo #builder

Some details are there to be seen. Others are there to be felt. These Diana Royal marble treads were finished with a custom Greek Key non-slip profile, proving that practical details don’t have to look ordinary. Framed by the beautiful timber wall panelling by Cos Interiors, the warmth of the timber and the natural movement of the stone complement each other perfectly. It’s always rewarding to be part of a project where every trade contributes something special. @msm.stone @cosinteriors @surfacespectrum #marblestairs #stonedesign #customstone #luxuryinteriors #craftsmanshipmatters

Browning now complete which was a project in collaboration with Fiona Collie Architects. Working with great architects is the part of this business we enjoy most, watching a shared vision come together! We documented the whole thing, start to finish.
