I’ve spent most of this pregnancy in my feelings about it. Denial, embarrassment, fear, loneliness, anxious, holding my breath, in my head instead of the present moment, and most days just pushing through and forgetting I’m pregnant. Then guilty for feeling this way after praying and trying to conceive/carry to term for 6 years.
@daramore captured a Joy I didn’t know was there. These photos remind me I nuh need to worry. I have my partner, my family, my friends, and my ancestors behind me. I am held. I give thanks for Fire’s coming forward. I give thanks for the mother I am and becoming. Ase. ✨ by @cosmickale

Lightning turned 10 months this week. I celebrate because that’s 10 months of breastfeeding! We’re still going strong, but pray my strength as more teeth come in. 😬 Fire will be here in November, so not sure how much longer we’ll have this time. Doctors suggested I stop a while back, but a hard head makes a juicy behind, right?
For now I’m giving thanks for the journey, going with the flow and daydreaming on easy beach days like this one.
Mommas feel free to share any wisdom on breastfeeding a toddler and a newborn. 🙏🏾🖤
