I can’t even believe I’m saying these words right now. It was all too sudden. You were fine and then you were gone.

This grief is crippling. This sudden loss is killing me. I’m not ok. I just want more time with my best boy. I love you so much Horatio.

These 3 are happy to be home 🏡

We had so much fun in Salt Lake! I can’t wait to share pictures from there! Gotta get our lives back in order though. It’s crazy how even a short 5 day trip turns everything upside down 🙃 I also stupidly forgot to take an extra day off so it’s been busy!!!

The dogs had a blast and did so good in the Airbnb! I’m pretty sure Archer wants to live everyday like we did in Salt Lake. Adventure all morning, chill & cuddle all evening. His perfect life!

Throwback Thursday 💛

I love this photo. So many memories attached to it. On this day, I did a solo adventure with just Beretta and Horatio. We drove to an old mining town, did a nice hike around old mining equipment and then drove a dirt road for a while. It was truly a great bonding day.

My two babies. The best friends since day 1. I miss them soooo much but I find comfort knowing they’re together and with Keenyah. Grief sucks though.

I do also miss my blue 4Runner. The OG girl that started the obsession. So many memories in her.

Oh Archer 🤪

This boy knows how to have a good time and when he does… That HUGE tongue always comes out! I sometimes wonder how he fits it in his mouth. 😅

Archer is somehow absolute chaos and a menace to society and yet…. The goodest boy. He’s an absolute psychopath. Loves to run, jump, play, throw paws at you, do what he wants. Yet, he’s chill in stores, perfect patio dog, recalls on a dime and just loves his pack.

Happy October 👻🎃

Where has the time gone?! How is it October?! This month we’re heading to Salt Lake City, UT!!! We’re so excited for a little getaway! This will be Archer’s second trip ever and I’m so excited to see how he does! We’ll be doing some hiking, off roading, relaxing and reading. Should be a great trip!

Life is funny…

We used to always tell Danielle ( @thehullpack ) that she was crazy and her dogs were spoiled. Always worried about them, their comfort, being left along, etc etc. We assumed her dogs were just so pampered.

Then we got Archer. Turns out… it’s a Dane thing 😂 He’s literally like a toddler and throws tantrums when he’s not with his people, gets sad/needy if he’s uncomfortable. He demands different proteins regularly for meals, must ALWAYS know where we are.

And now we get it. We’ve turned into those people constantly worried about the dogs. Not that Chandler & Lorelai aren’t spoiled or we didn’t worry about them but it’s different. They’re chill. They’ll just sleep or hangout if we leave. They don’t throw tantrums or have panic attacks over us. Archer does. 😅

Yet… I wouldn’t change a thing. Turns out… I’m a Great Dane girl (well and a GSP girl 😉). We’ll always have at least one but for sure two someday!

You’ve been on my mind so much lately 💜💛

There’s been a few sleepless nights, lots of tears shed and stories told lately. I think of you every single day and miss you. I wish I could put words to how much I miss you. How heavy your absence is. It’s just indescribable. My heart outside my body… gone.

I think I’m going to start trying to write our story. Whether that’s just a book/journal for myself & a few select others or something I share is TBD.

It’s heavy. I’m incredibly grateful for my therapist, Shad, the dogs and @thehullpack for keeping me together. I wouldn’t change a thing about our life together. I’m living in your honor and you’ll never be forgotten.

“Fall”-ing in love with the Subaru 💛

Don’t get me wrong… I’m a 4Runner girly. That’s my ride. She’s perfect for me. But the addition of Shad’s 2026 Subaru Outback has been amazing.

This car fits so much. We can fit all 3 dogs and our gear comfortably. It handles the dirt roads like a champ. It’s comfortable and that gas mileage…. Unbeatable ⛽️

My 4Runner gets 16 mpg on a good day (usually 14)…. The Outback gets 30 easily. It’s insane.

Have you been surprised by a vehicle? Truly grateful for this car.

Oh my gourd 💛

This fall in Colorado is coming SOOOO early and so fast! Ifs such a strange transition. You’ll have sections of trees that have already lost their leaves, then a section still bright green, then a small patch of yellow. Even the yellow isn’t as vibrant as normal.

Colorado is in an intense drought. We had the hottest summer on record for like 150 years and most areas are in an extreme drought. It sucks! My poor state is struggling.
