….what a weekend with @theyoungdemocrats in Omaha!

🦄This was my first meeting as chair of @yda_lgbtq — I’m so excited to use the rest of the 2025-2027 biennium to strengthen and build our caucus alongside all the caucus officers
🏜️I led the @ydawesternregion meeting where we had great and collaborative conversations about the future of our region + what a strong YDA Western Region looks like!
🩼 @ydadisabilitycaucus and @ydawomenscaucus had a wonderful joint meeting where we had discussion and worked to combine ideas for submission to the UN concerning the needs of disabled women and gender diverse people!
🌊 I was officially appointed Western Region Organizing Director — congratulations to everyone who was appointed!
💙 Lots of really good conversations were had about resos and charter amendments

See everyone at the Spring Meeting! taken in Omaha, Nebraska by @counter_argument

and with that my speech and debate career is finally, for real this time (probably) over!

Breaking both of my events at nationals and winning the NCFA Outstanding Limited Prep Speaker of the year award in the 4-year division definitely isn’t a bad way to go out!!

Speech and debate has been a part of my life for the better part of six (granted very discontiguous) years, and has made my life better for those six years — from being dumped into high school policy debate in 7th grade, to revitalizing the Ohlone College speech and debate team in 2022, to winning silver in impromptu at PRP nationals in 2023, to captaining the UC Berkeley speech team, to finishing my career at NFA Nationals in 2025, it’s been a JOURNEY

Imma miss y’all ♥️

ps, thank you Evan, who has somehow avoided ig, for serving as my emotional support at tournaments this last season — though it pains me to say, you were usually right about whether I had broken, even when I erroneously insisted I probably didn’t break for the 10th time taken in University of California, Berkeley by @counter_argument

@schaefferfellow’s summit in horizontal 📸

As July - and my time at the EEOC as a Schaeffer Fellow - comes to an end, I’m reflecting on how great this program has been!! I’m so grateful to have been a part of it, to have met all the fellows at our summit, & to have spent the summer working to combat employment discrimination💙✨ taken in Washington D. Young gets it done!! The @cademocrats and @cayoungdems meeting this past weekend in San Diego was a blast! Thank you @de.la.rosa.11 for appointing me to chair the CYD Policy & Leg Committee — we heard 38 bills, 1 resolution, and are starting a subcommittee🥰

@cydenvirocaucus also had a wonderful meeting where we postcarded for Make Polluters Pay & No Big Oil Immunity🌳

On the CDP side of things, we endorsed the billionaire tax (Prop 40) & took an oppose position on Prop 45!! taken in San Diego, California by @counter_argument

Transit measure organizing finally gets a place on my grid🚉

Over the past few months I’ve been organizing to get the @connectbayareatransit measure on the ballot, and we’re going to continue to organize so it passes in November! Between collecting 504 signatures, to showing up for a rally to tell Newsom & CARB to get fund transit not big oil, to organizing a young dems signature gathering competition where @ebyoungdems WON, I’ve collected some good pictures, posted here for you to enjoy

1) w/ EBYDers at the signature turn in party
2) making save transit posters in Berkeley
3-6) getting increasingly frustrated calling Newsom about proposed CARB subsides for big oil which would decimate transit funding, and being repeatedly hung up on — thx @manav.patel0413 for being my cameraman and emotional support as I kind of lost it
7) w/ the wonderful @rebeccaforelcerrito showing our love for BART
8-9) at a scavenger hunt organized by @transbay.coalition
10) still w/ EBYDers at the signature turn in party
11) on CalTrain by @counter_argument
