From Soho to the seafront...

The Home Secretary in the 1920s, William Joynson-Hicks, described Soho's 43 Club as ‘a place of the most intense mischief and immorality with doped women and drunk men…’. Regulars included Rudolf Valentino and Tallulah Bankhead, J. B. Priestly, Evelyn Waugh and various underworld figures.
