Y’all know I’m not exactly a minimalist… and basic has never really been my thing 🥲😅 So when I started looking online for something to wear to my sister’s wedding, even SHE was looking at everything I sent her like, “yeah… that’s way too basic for you.” 😂 And she was right. I couldn’t find anything I loved enough to actually hand over my money for, so naturally I reached out to the best in the business @coutil.studio . They helped me find the PERFECT fabric that brought together all the colours from my sister’s wedding palette, while still tying in beautifully with the outfits the other girls had already chosen. So I could still feel completely like myself without looking like I’d gone rogue from the brief. 😂 Handcrafted, made to measure and fitted to my body perfectly, we created this custom corset and skirt together and I honestly couldn’t have loved it more. I wanted something that felt special enough for such a big day, but also something that wasn’t destined to be worn once and then forgotten about in the back of my wardrobe. Pieces I could wear again, style differently and make completely my own. I spend so much of my life behind the wedding scenes, creating the pretty for everyone else, so it was VERY nice to get dressed up, be on the other side for once and feel like a queen while watching my sister have her moment. 🥹🖤- so take a good look because this is the best this florist will ever look 😂😂😭 Safe to say @coutil.studio absolutely understood the assignment and of@course the glam team that was @ykbmua and @kirstensmithhair. Nothing in this project happened by accident. Every decision was made with intention because the best branding isn’t just beautiful. It’s thoughtfully conceived, carefully constructed and deeply connected to the business behind it. After spending time with Faith + Sarah and seeing the level of craftsmanship behind their couture gowns, it became clear their branding needed to reflect that same standard. We actually started by exploring a serif logo. It seemed like the obvious choice for a luxury bridal brand. But it didn’t feel like them. So we went back to the drawing board. The result was a completely custom sans serif wordmark. Refined, timeless and crafted to reflect the same level of artistry and precision that goes into every Coutil gown. The beautiful poppy motif, designed by @merel.studio, became the perfect finishing touch. A symbol of two creatives coming together, just as Faith + Sarah have built Coutil together. Managing the print production was one of my favourite parts of this project. Choosing stocks, papers and finishes (embossing, of course!) wasn’t an afterthought. It was just as important as designing the logo itself. That’s where the real value lies. Not in designing ‘just a logo’, but in bringing a brand to life across every touchpoint, with every printed piece thoughtfully designed to support a bride’s experience from her first appointment through to collecting her gown. Now, seeing it sitting so naturally within their beautiful heritage Fremantle atelier, it feels exactly as it should. Because the best branding doesn’t compete with the business. It belongs there.
