Helping to transform the lives of youth overcoming homelessness in the state of New Jersey since 1989.

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Somewhere in Newark, a kid is walking to class with a new backpack. We sent our ONE AMERICA backpacks to @covenanthousenj , who support young people facing homelessness with housing, meals, job training and education. The kind of place where a backpack is not just a backpack. It is what you carry to your first class, your first shift, your first real step forward. So we sent the good stuff. Padded 15 inch laptop sleeve. USB charging port. Hidden anti theft pocket. A shell made from 14 recycled plastic bottles.

Covenant House wrote to tell us their youth love them, and that some had already started wearing them around.

Thank you @covenanthousenj for the work you do every day.

As part of their 11 Days of Service, Covenant House New Jersey youth and staff joined the New York Red Bulls for an incredible afternoon of soccer, connection, and community, complete with a BBQ hosted by their partners at Toyota!

Spending the day alongside the Red Bulls players and staff was incredibly meaningful for our youth. Experiences like this remind our young people that they have a community behind them, cheering them on every step of the way.

A huge thank you to Tonilynn McCaffery and her team, the New York Red Bulls, and Toyota for bringing everyone together and creating such a memorable day for our youth! ♥️ by @covenanthousenj

88 Sleepers. 21 teams. One purpose.

The Reinsurance industry gave up their beds last night in solidarity with youth experiencing homelessness. By spending one night outside, they raised almost half a million dollars to keep Covenant House doors open 24/7 for youth in New York and New Jersey. by @covenanthousenj

From the Music Room to the Courtroom! ⚖️✨ Our CHNJ youth stepped into new roles, challenged themselves, and discovered the power of their own voices. Through our mock trial experiences, they built confidence, practiced critical thinking, and learned that their possibilities are bigger than they may have imagined. 💜 When young people are given the opportunity to learn, lead, and shine, incredible things happen!

Not every young person has a safe place to call home. Not every survivor has someone to turn to.

That's why we're here—365 days a year, 24 hours a day—offering shelter, support, and a path forward. 💙
