We’re currently advertising for a new Trustee with experience in charity fundraising to join our dedicated Board of Trustees.

The successful candidate will help shape and review the charity’s long-term fundraising and membership strategy to ensure financial sustainability and performance monitoring of our different income streams. Direct experience in raising funds in a variety of ways whether through direct fundraising campaigns, Big Give and other similar matched fundraising, or bids for grant funding and corporate donor funding would be advantageous. We are a small charity and a trustee willing to take an active role in our fundraising efforts would also be advantageous.

For further details please visit:

The closing date is 6th October 2026.

Staff and volunteers from the We Are Grow team in Totteridge learning some new tree propagation skills which they plan to share within their schools and community programmes.

The team from the London Tree Ring would love to see climate resilient trees grown at The Grow Farm planted along the London Tree Ring connectivity line.

📢The updated National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) was officially published on the 17th of August and represents a significant change to the planning rules that shape the country.

🌳We’ve highlighted some of the document’s key terms relating to green spaces and the Green Belt, to help you better understand them and take part in discussions about what this could mean for your local area. To learn more about the associated NPPF policies, check out the recent news article on our website.

👉The NPPF 2026 may be published, but we still have a chance to influence how it’s applied in the capital. CPRE London are in the process of reviewing the draft next London Plan and preparing our response, which we will share with you soon.

Climate change and commercialisation has made it a gruelling summer for London’s green spaces.

Companies are bidding for progressively larger events licenses in London’s parks, restricting public access and damaging these vital green spaces, which are already suffering from a summer of heatwaves.

A change in the law is urgently needed to place spatial and temporal limits on the commercial use of public parks to safeguard public access and protect nature.

See the news section of the CPRE London website for our latest article about the creeping privatisation of London’s Parks:

Last year, we invited you to support the Derry Downs Green Belt Future Group campaign against an outline planning proposal on a #GreenBelt site… and your voice was heard!

Over 1000 objections were made and #Bromley Council issued a resolution to refuse the application, sending a clear signal about the importance it places on protecting the borough’s Green Belt. CPRE London congratulates the campaign group, whose tireless efforts demonstrate the strength and power of local people in the planning process.

👉 An appeal is now underway. You can share any new comments until the 18th of August by using PINS reference 6011063. To learn more about the proposal and campaign, check out the Save St Mary Cray Greenbelt website and CPRE London's news page.

The High Court has quashed Tottenham Hotspur’s plans to develop part of Whitewebbs Park following a successful judicial review claim by @guardians.whitewebbs with help from @pilc_campaigns.

CPRE London has been a long-standing supporter of the campaign to protect #Whitewebbs, and earlier this year we included the park in a report highlighting more than fifty threatened parks and green spaces in London.

CPRE London's Operations Director, John Sadler, said: “This is a fantastic victory for everyone who cares about London’s green spaces. Many congratulations to Guardians of Whitewebbs and others for their tireless work on this case. London’s parks are vital for people and nature. They should always be robustly protected from development and commercialisation.” by @cprelondon

In a week when temperatures in the capital have soared again, it’s clear that London's Green Belt and other green spaces are needed more than ever to cool our city and mitigate the impacts of climate change.
