Want great hair and to help the next generation of Craft House artists grow?

Model Mondays are part of our education program, where our licensed apprentices practice and build advanced technical skills under the guidance of our Education Director or Creative Director.

This is a great fit if you are open to change, flexible with your hair goals, available on Mondays, and excited to be part of the learning process.

A few things to know:
Haircuts are complimentary.
Color services may have a product fee.
Services are based on what our apprentices are currently working on.
Appointments begin with a consultation.
Educators check the work throughout the service.
Photos may be taken for education and social media.

Basically, you get to be part of the “we love education around here” magic — with very real supervision and a whole lot of care.

➕This is why extensions aren’t just about adding length.

Swipe back to the beginning, because this transformation is a combination of custom color + extensions working together.
Before adding any hair, we have to think about the entire finished result: where the color needs brightness, where it needs depth, how the extensions will blend into the natural hair, and how much density we need to make the new length actually look believable.
Because adding 10 inches is the easy part.
Making those 10 inches look like they grew out of your head? That’s the craft.
The dimensional color helps create a seamless transition from her natural hair into the extensions, while the added length and fullness completely change the overall shape. Once everything is blended, cut and styled together, you shouldn’t be looking at the finished result wondering where her hair ends and the extensions begin.
That’s the goal.
Not “extension hair.”
Just really good hair.

Things are about to get a little weird on our walls—and we mean that as the highest compliment.

Join us Saturday, October 17, from 4–6 PM for the opening of CookToonZ, featuring the work of Jersey Shore–born illustrator Jim Cook.

Jim’s work pulls from ’80s and ’90s pop culture, classic adventure stories, horror icons, oddities, and everything wonderfully bizarre. Working primarily in scratchboard, etching, and acrylic, he creates pieces that feel nostalgic, unexpected, and just a little unsettling—in the best way.

Come meet the artist, explore the collection, and see Craft House transformed into a gallery for the evening.

➕Curly hair doesn’t need to be controlled. It needs to be understood.

A great curly haircut starts with looking at what the hair is actually doing—where the curl tightens, where it stretches, how the weight is sitting, and how the shape changes once the hair is dry.
Because curls aren’t uniform. Even on one head, you can have multiple patterns doing completely different things.

The goal isn’t to force every curl to behave the same way. It’s to build a shape that gives the texture room to move, keeps the hair balanced, and still looks good when you’re the one styling it at home.
And honestly? That last part matters a lot to us.

If you’ve spent years thinking your curls are “difficult,” there’s a very good chance they just need a different approach.

➕The haircut & the color.

This is a good example of why we love pairing dimensional blonde with a razored, layered haircut.

The color creates contrast and brightness, but the layers are what help you actually see it. Face-framing pieces open up the front, longer layers give the hair movement, and all of that dimension starts to catch the light instead of sitting in one solid shape.

If your blonde only looks good when it’s freshly highlighted, we need to talk.
Beautiful blonde isn’t just about how light we can make the hair. It’s about building a color—and a haircut—that still works weeks and months after you leave the salon.
Here, the natural depth gives the lighter pieces something to play against, while brighter pieces around the face create that blonde feeling without requiring every strand to be lightened.

And the haircut matters just as much.
Long layers help create movement, soften the shape, and make all of that dimension in the color actually show up—without sacrificing the length you’ve spent years protecting.
Because sometimes the secret to brighter blonde is leaving some hair darker.
And sometimes the secret to better long hair is removing weight, not length.

The important part is customizing both. Fine hair, dense hair, straight hair, wavy hair, curly hair—they all need a different approach to layering, placement, and maintenance.

We’re also always going to ask the question that actually matters:
How are you styling this at home?

Because a beautiful color and haircut that only work after a professional blowout aren’t especially useful.
Less “highlight absolutely everything.”
Less “take off five inches.”

Hair color can be subtle. It can be blended. It can whisper.
Or it can be electric yellow with a graphic split and absolutely refuse to blend into the background.

Creative color like this takes more planning than simply choosing a fun shade. We’re thinking about placement, the starting canvas, how the colors will sit next to each other, fade patterns, and what maintenance will realistically look like at home.

Because vivid hair should feel intentional—not accidental.

One of our favorite things about custom color is that there really doesn’t have to be a rulebook.
Your hair can be classic, left of center, soft, loud, somewhere in between… or change depending on the month.

We work exclusively with color & products of Davines, a B-certified 100% sustainable as well as Cult & King an organic, 1% for the planet company. Aside from products, we are a @greencirclesalons, with a recycling program for all of our salon’s waste; from foils to extra color using @salonscale for cutting down on color waste.

✨Craft House Salon is gender-neutral. We believe that services should be based on time, education, and level of experience, not gender. We are proud partners with @thedresscodeproject and @strandsfortrans providing a safer space experience for our community. 🏳️‍🌈

✨As creative individuals, we are fueled by inspiration salon doubles as a gallery space, with a rotation of artists who use our home to display their collections.

➕Your grey hair doesn’t need to be “fixed.” It might just need a haircut that understands it.

Grey hair can behave differently as it grows in. Texture can change. Curl patterns can shift. Some areas may feel coarser, softer, straighter or curlier than they did before.

Which is why cutting the hair that is actually on your head now matters more than trying to make it behave like the hair you had ten years ago.
Here, the goal was shape, movement and letting that natural texture have some room to do its thing.

We grey.

And we especially love when the two decide to show up together.
