First Backyard Ultra done ✔️

Mind, stomach said we all good, knees left the loop.
Gave it all until the body said no-more.
20 laps for my debut Backyard Ultra 135km.
So much admiration for these guys doing 120+ loops.

Again couldn't have done any of this without my @donna_alberd threw you in the deep end and you crewed again like a boss 🙏🏾

@pilbaratrailblazers you guys put on an amazing Red Dirt Backyard Ultra, see ya next year.
This shit is addictive, enjoy ya life to the fullest... by @craigalberd

The "WHY" it's in everyone of these amazing moments captured here,

Special mention to @seanbellruns , coach, friend and fastest person to run around Australia 🇦🇺. Thanks for your time, effort and support, your attention to coaching runners is amazing.

@rix____sta ya bought the energy and vibe all night and throughout the week, thanks for joining and will be one hella experience next year 🏃‍♂️

@tomhickers & Veee you have created something that is unlike anything else in the world, more than just a run, an experience that brings like minded people together and connects on another level. Veee your Aura is so special, the minute you meet is like you have known for years.

Margaret the @balichildrenfoundation
you have created is so uplifting, your tireless effort is doing so much for all these children and to see them and there faces was something else. 🥺

My heart is so full from this experience and the inspiration I watched from everyone has inspired my baby girl @emilyalberd to experience it next year, as we run together to create something so special 💗 @donna_alberd as always my biggest supporter 💖 and our absolute rock 🪨.
Mumma Donna 🤌🏾🇮🇹 you have ✌🏾 now to do what you do best: unconditional love ❤️ and support.

That mountain was and is brutal. 80km across Bali overnight is so humbling.
It has taken a few days for the emotions to settle.
My hip didn't just burn; it screamed with every downhill step, a white-hot reminder that my goal was slipping away."
The intense pain in my hip was nothing compared to the hollow ache in my chest.
Months of predawn kms, missed weekends, and sacrifices felt like they were evaporating into the cold, empty air of the mountain.

Quitting was never an option.

I crossed the finish line of the Bali Hope Ultra in 3rd place for my first ultramarathon. I’m incredibly proud of the mental fight it took just to keep moving forward. Right now, recovery is my new ultramarathon. I’ll be back."

It was tough to shake the feeling of letting down the ones closest to me, @donna_alberd words cannot express how much you do for me, my team and the people who invested so much into my training.

Thank you to everyone who tracked me, sent messages, and believed in me.

The Bali Hope Ultra isn't just a physical challenge; it is fundamentally about lifting communities out of poverty. Its so humbling to know that so many beautiful people donated and together we raised $12,749 for @balichildrenfoundation , The main goal 🙏🏾

To everyone @balihopeultra , Tom you have the biggest heart and created something so special, Veeeee your Aura is just so welcoming and all the amazing runners and crew, this week has been the most amazing experience. Has honestly taught me so much about myself.
