Meet Hussain Baakshi from Afghanistan , presenter of ‘Home For All’ a radio programme where Hussain interviews people from all over the world who have made their home in Ireland. The Programme airs on Together 96FM on Sunday evenings at 8.30pm. ‘Home For All’ won a Gold Award at the Community Radio Association of Ireland Awards (CRAOL) recently for which we are delighted and proud. A day in the life of LCRfm as we attended @craol.ie Radio Achievement Awards this week.

Winning an award in the Irish Language category for our Saturday morning show An Brekkie Breac is a testament to the hard work and dedicated effort that all the team at the station put in week on week.

We are a young station fuelled by passion and a strong will to build trust and rapport within our community telling local stories, hearing local voices, playing local music.

It has been a very busy summer here at Craol, we started off our Training Workshops with our Managers Forum/Meeting on June 10th & 11th, followed by CPD training for all our QQI accredited trainers on June 26th & 27th. Then we welcomed the team to our Irish Language Workshop on Jul 15th & 16th and last week we welcomed the Chairs & Board members to a forum/meeting. Looking forward to meeting you all again at Feile on Oct 28th & 29th. by @craol.ie

Craol, with matched CBSS funding from Coimisiún na Meán has conducted an extensive audience survey in the Community Radio sector.
The aim of the Amárach survey is to report audience feedback and take measurements in the Community Radio sector. The report launched on World Radio Day 2025 indicates loyalty of listenership to Community Radio.
In addition to the Amárach listenership survey Craol has surveyed the 21 full time stations in its network and the results of this show every increasing and strong social media, web and internet streaming for community radio. The digital impact part of the survey was also launched on Feb 13th.

The survey was launched at an event in Dublin on World Radio Day Feb 13th 2025.

Also, Caroline O’Loughlin from the Dept of Media for her attendance and Craol looks forward to working with these organisations to support the social benefits member stations deliver on a daily basis around Ireland.
Thank you to all the station managers and representatives who attended and gave such positive feedback at the end of the guest speeches and presentations.
Craol will now use this research to develop the Community Radio movement in Ireland and to realise its potential to make a difference to the communities its members are part of.
