My long hike on day 3 was #devilscourthouse and #silverminebald. It started sprinkling when I was 2/3 of the way through, so I turned around and went back to the car because I knew it connected to the Parkway at the other end. Yeah, bad idea… 450ft climb in .36mi. First #asheville hike in the books! I had planned to go somewhere else, but the Universe (aka Hurricane Helene damage) didn’t like that plan.
