Rain may have moved the event indoors, but it did not dampen the spirit of this year’s Walking with Grace.

Team CRC was glad to come together in support of Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital and the families it serves. The event brought together participants, families and supporters for a meaningful day centered on community, connection and giving back.

We are taking this opportunity during Breast Cancer Awareness Month to provide a reminder of the importance of awareness, early detection and understanding personal risk.

Regular screening can help detect breast cancer earlier, when treatment may be most effective. For women at average risk, current guidance recommends mammography every other year beginning at age 40.

Knowing your family history, talking with your healthcare provider about your individual risk and staying current with recommended screenings are important steps in taking charge of your health.
