Third spaces - These spaces, like coffee shops, parks, gardens, or Creative Lab! provide a break from the usual routine and offer a change of pace that can make all the difference. These wonderfully informal spots that aren’t your home or workplace are key for fostering social interaction, creativity, and wellbeing.

Third spaces also offer the freedom to relax without the pressures of work or household chores hanging over you. This can be a much-needed mental reset, encouraging creativity, fresh thinking, and new ideas. Without the constant need to be ‘on’ like at work or home. When in our third space we can engage in conversations and activities that feel more spontaneous and enjoyable. In short, third spaces provide a much-needed break from the usual, helping to promote social connections, creativity, and mental wellbeing.

Creative Lab on Tour at Media City UK 🧡🎨 Todays takeover has been amazing. Thank you for all of you wonderful people who stopped by to get creative with us today at Hot House. Shout out to @nellspizza for the delicious ice cream sandwich’s and awesome vibes, and to @localecoffeeuk for the super tasty chai lattes. We love filling our events with product makers, services, creatives offering interactive elements and more. Here’s Venessa who’s an artist, presenter and owner of Creative Lab. She curated a special vibrant space at our last pop up for people of all ages to free up their craft skills and get involved in fun activities. Every event we have we always bringing elements of joy and making as we believe it’s so essential to the soul ✨

Our next event is the 1st of August and we can’t wait to announce those who will be joining us!

New workshop dates are here! - You’re welcome x

Creating space to connect;

We create analogue art experiences that invite people to unplug create, and connect. Using tactile materials, intuitive collaging, and, our special sauce - the satisfying clickety-clack of typewriters. Our touring art workshop is all about slowing down, getting hands-on, and making space for creativity and irl human connection.

At Creative Lab It’s really not about polished outcomes or elite artistic skill, but about presence, expression, and the joy of creating something by hand, connecting with others and enjoying the sense of wellbeing that comes from all that in-person, analogue, arty goodness.

The first stop on our tour was amazing! Over 130 of you wonderful humans spent time with us; getting creative, connecting, purchasing art and becoming slightly addicted to the one pound poetry stand ( you know who you are 😄👀🫶🏾) We were delighted to welcome you and super happy that you had such a wonderful time.
