POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Hi, I’m Leela, the heart (and the hands covered in rice, paint and slime) behind Creative Munchkins Perth.

What started as setting up messy play for my own little one quickly turned into something bigger than I ever imagined…
A space where kids can explore freely, parents can slow down, and community feels easy.

I design every popup, potion kit, sensory tray and party setup myself, usually late at night with a cup of Coffee and a million ideas scribbled down somewhere ✨

You’ll usually find me:
🤍 hauling water tables at sunrise
🤍 testing slime recipes in my kitchen
🤍 packing take, home gifts and party favours
🤍 or chatting with mums while kids happily make the biggest mess possible

Because here’s what I truly believe…
Mess is okay. Kids are washable. Childhood is magic.

Thank you for trusting me with your little ones, your parties, and your memories. It honestly means the world.

If you’ve ever been to a CMP popup, thank you for being part of our village 🌿
If you’re new here, welcome, I’m so glad you found us.

Leela x

We didn’t grow up together.

We weren’t there for each other’s childhoods, teenage years or the versions of ourselves that existed before kids.

We met later.

Somewhere in the chapter of motherhood — amongst kids playing around us, conversations constantly interrupted, ordinary days and a lot of laughing — we found each other.

And somehow it feels like she’s always been there.

I think that’s one of the loveliest surprises of adulthood.

Some of the people who become such a big part of your life don’t know every chapter that came before them.

They just arrive in this one… and fit. 🤎

Sometimes you really do meet your people a little later. by @creativemunchkinsperth

Celebrating dads, granddads and father figures last weekend at a wonderful event hosted by some of Perth’s amazing local vendors. 🩵

We had an absolute blast bowling, golfing, playing tennis and soccer with @geckosports_westcoast , followed by plenty of sensory play with @imagination_haven_ @picnicandplayperth @creativemunchkinsperth .

Our hearts were full seeing so many little ones having the best time with their role models. 🥹 Such a beautiful way to kick off Father’s Day weekend - with plenty of quality time, laughter and, most importantly, play. 💙 by @creativemunchkinsperth

Father's Day Pop-Up Event

When looking for something special to do to celebrate the father figures in our lives, this was a no-brainer! 💙

Sensory play? 🙌
Amazing local businesses coming together? ✨
A raffle for a great cause? 🎟️
Say less… we’re there! 🥰

We had such a lovely time at the Father’s Day Pop-Up hosted by @creativemunchkinsperth , @imagination_haven_ and @picnicandplayperth , alongside @perth.dadventures , @dayna.photography , @babystar_book , @littlepurplecrayon and @geckosports_westcoast - all while raising funds for @mens_talk_au 💙

Little man absolutely loved having his Dad there to play with him at all the different stations. 🥹 Being a FIFO family, we don’t often get the chance to attend events like this together - especially ones where we get to celebrate Dad!

G proudly showed Dad around, teaching him what to do at each station and sharing one of his favourite ways to play. Watching them explore and play together was honestly so sweet. 🥰

And the best part? Over $1,000 was raised for @mens_talk_au ! 🎉👏 How amazing is that?!

Such a beautiful event for such a wonderful cause. A huge congratulations to everyone involved in bringing it all together! 💙✨
