I'm genuinely up for just about anything. 😂

A 6am workout, a beach walk, coffee, a sound bath, a hike, arts and crafts, a spontaneous adventure… or waking up ridiculously early to dance as the sun comes up.

I love all of it. And if you suggest something I've never tried before, chances are I'll want to give that a go too!

Got the kids? Bring them! A playcentre or playground? You can guarantee I'll be right in there joining in on the fun. 😂

But I'm also just as happy sitting on the couch in our comfy clothes, having a cuppa and talking about absolutely everything and nothing.

No need to tidy the house, organise anything special or make a big fuss. Come as you are.

Because for me, it's never really been about what we're doing. I just genuinely love spending time with the people I love.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who's up for all of it?!

What's your ideal catch-up with friends? 🤎

We didn’t grow up together.

We weren’t there for each other’s childhoods, teenage years or the versions of ourselves that existed before kids.

We met later.

Somewhere in the chapter of motherhood — amongst kids playing around us, conversations constantly interrupted, ordinary days and a lot of laughing — we found each other.

And somehow it feels like she’s always been there.

I think that’s one of the loveliest surprises of adulthood.

Some of the people who become such a big part of your life don’t know every chapter that came before them.

They just arrive in this one… and fit. 🤎

Sometimes you really do meet your people a little later.

WE’VE DONE IT AGAIN. 🥹🤎 Ticketed events for the Perth school holidays are here!

Perth school holiday planning mode is officially ON… and yes, we’re still collating, checking and cross-checking all the FREE things happening these school holidays too, so you don’t have to. That guide is coming next. 🙌

And there is A LOT.

So much, in fact, that with Instagram’s 20-slide carousel limit, we may need to turn our ticketed school holiday events into a Part One + Part Two next holidays. 😅

We know there are still more events out there too — some haven’t officially been announced yet, some details are still being finalised, and new things always seem to pop up once the holidays begin.

We’ve checked and cross-checked the information included here, but please always check directly with the business, venue or organiser before heading out, as dates, times, availability and event details can change.

And because we know this guide will keep growing, we’ll continue adding any new finds and updates in the comments below. 👇 And you’re absolutely welcome to add yours too!

If you know of a ticketed Perth school holiday event we’ve missed, pop it below so other families can find it too. 🤎

Save this one for the school holidays + send it to another Perth family who needs it. ✨

Celebrating dads, granddads and father figures last weekend at a wonderful event hosted by some of Perth’s amazing local vendors. 🩵

We had an absolute blast bowling, golfing, playing tennis and soccer with @geckosports_westcoast , followed by plenty of sensory play with @imagination_haven_ @picnicandplayperth @creativemunchkinsperth .

Our hearts were full seeing so many little ones having the best time with their role models. 🥹 Such a beautiful way to kick off Father’s Day weekend - with plenty of quality time, laughter and, most importantly, play. 💙

“Hi, my name’s Kai. What’s yours?”

Followed not long after by…

“Do you want to play?”
or, quite often,
“Do you want to be my very best friend?” 🥹🤎

I watched him do this over and over again at the different playgrounds we visited this week.

No hesitation.
No overthinking.
No worrying about whether they’ll like him.

Just a hello, a name and an invitation to play.

And within minutes, they’re running around together like they’ve known each other forever.

It struck me again this week how uncomplicated friendship can be for children.

They just reach out.
They include.
They begin.

There’s something so beautiful in that.

Isn’t it funny how our little people can teach us so much about the things we’ve somehow made complicated as grown-ups?

Sometimes, it simply begins with hello. 🤎

Father's Day Pop-Up Event

When looking for something special to do to celebrate the father figures in our lives, this was a no-brainer! 💙

Sensory play? 🙌
Amazing local businesses coming together? ✨
A raffle for a great cause? 🎟️
Say less… we’re there! 🥰

We had such a lovely time at the Father’s Day Pop-Up hosted by @creativemunchkinsperth , @imagination_haven_ and @picnicandplayperth , alongside @perth.dadventures , @dayna.photography , @babystar_book , @littlepurplecrayon and @geckosports_westcoast - all while raising funds for @mens_talk_au 💙

Little man absolutely loved having his Dad there to play with him at all the different stations. 🥹 Being a FIFO family, we don’t often get the chance to attend events like this together - especially ones where we get to celebrate Dad!

G proudly showed Dad around, teaching him what to do at each station and sharing one of his favourite ways to play. Watching them explore and play together was honestly so sweet. 🥰

And the best part? Over $1,000 was raised for @mens_talk_au ! 🎉👏 How amazing is that?!

Such a beautiful event for such a wonderful cause. A huge congratulations to everyone involved in bringing it all together! 💙✨

What happens in a typical day? I’m not sure I ever have a typical day.

But if I can I will always spend the day going for some kind of adventure, I cannot stay inside all day, and that doesn’t always have to be elaborate plans or expensive 🫶🏼🤎

Mornings with @creativemunchkinsperth and @wtfcrepes

Also this was sitting in my drafts from nearly two months ago 😂
