✨✨LOCUS project «Kvinner» is part of this exhibition curated by @ivannikovaolgayurievna ✨✨Opening tomorrow in Seoul ✨✨Get @reshare_app • @seoulbrhouse #

While the Mountains Stand>
2026.8.18 - 9.6

Olga Ivannikova

Venice biennial preview week recap - @oceanspaceorg is always a favorite collateral, and also @guggenheim_venice and thank you for the lovely tour of the new show @gsubelyte 🌸 - the main biennale pavilion felt much more alive than recent years with 95% (?) living artists and a lot of works produced in 2025, and yes the biennale artists did try to respond, reply, dialogue with current political issues, Austria’s bell performance (!), Pussy Riot in front of Russia, and also oceanic prayers/seas of water/tears in the national pavilions(Poland, Romania, Canada), a lot of salt (Mexico, Argentina), blood oozing out of the walls (Brazil), a dystopian robot painting in China, demonstrations, disruptions, performances and good conversations everywhere - so even if the biennale format is old, all the artists in the biennale still created an interesting snapshot of what contemporary art is and/or can be/say right now. taken in La Biennale di Venezia by @creatrixa

Repost • @helsinkibiennial Every edition of Helsinki Biennial expands the art collection that belongs to all residents of Helsinki 💚

From Helsinki Biennial 2025, glass flowers and a soundscape included in Norwegian artist duo LOCUS / Thale Blix Fastvold & Tanja Thorjussen’s work have been acquired to the art collection of the City of Helsinki.

Zostera Marina’s song of increase is dedicated to a species of seagrass native to the Baltic Sea: common eelgrass (Zostera marina). In this project, the artists envisage a hopeful, speculative, utopian future for common eelgrass, which they imagine as blooming and thriving in the Baltic Sea.

Jokainen Helsinki Biennaali jättää jälkensä kaikkien helsinkiläisten omaan taidekokoelmaan 💚

Vuoden 2025 Helsinki Biennaalista kaupungin taidekokoelmaan on hankittu norjalaisen taiteilijaduon LOCUS / Thale Blix Fastvold & Tanja Thorjussenin teoskokonaisuuteen Zostera Marinan kasvun laulu kuuluneet lasikukinnot ja äänimaisema.

Read about Pyrofeminism in @kunstforum_international issue 307 2025 Feuer-Werke, out now, edited by Isa Bickmann ✨✨✨Repost: • @kunstbetrieb_ #Pyrofeminismus
